I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Not sure.

Anyway-Foden just been interviewed briefly on Sky and they asked him about Hatton.

He seemed OK in himself, which is good.

Didn't we have Dean and David Holdsworth at one point?

Or had Dean left?

We had them both at the same time briefly in 2002.

What the fuckery was that madness at the end by the Burnley defender?

Not sure why Parker seemed animated with the ref at the end.

Haha crappy old Burnley

Mcguire and Shaw playing a high line against Haarland............Comedy gold

If you give the ball away in defence like that, then it doesn't matter where your line is.

City are so comfortable, and picking them off.

Comical defending that 🤣

Haaland still as lethal as ever

Amorim's fixation with that one formation will get him sacked soon enough

Keeping Mcguire and Shaw on the halfway line  is quite amusing to watch

They are the gift who keep giving

I think that’s what he wants tbh.

Waiting for the payoff.

Mourinho has been paid 100m euro in compensation for just that in the last 5 years

I thought Neville's comment was telling:

"I don't feel anything".

It's as if mediocrity has become accepted, and expectation washed away.

Quite amusing.

Long may it continue

Had no idea Modric was at Milan

We did, in 2002. But David never actually played a league game for us.

Keeps going that lad

Fair play to him

Probably still be the best serie a player  when he's 45

That was an absolutely shite game

United look like a team that will finish just above the relegation spots. For those of an age it now genuinely has a whiff of that team that got relegated in the 70s. Some decent players but not a team that look like they can win any game at all

City were flattered by just how shit United were. Put that City performance against a decent team and they get beaten. They wont finish above the scousers or Arsenal this year

Haaland looked ridiculous tbf.

Absolute beast and looks back to his best.

I'm sure they played against each other at the Reebok. David playing for Sheff Utd.

Utd's front line will do some damage this season.

Mbuemo had several chances, and had he bagged, then who knows.

Rodri looked buggered when he went off and Silva is perhaps slowing down a bit.

City's attacking players still do their defensive work well- closing down quickly out of possession. That said, they have to, as they don't use what we may consider typical, dynamic midfielders, Reijnders excepted perhaps.

That may cost them when they come under pressure from stronger, better teams.

Surely they will set up differently against Arsenal for example.

Pretty sure they played against each other at the Reebok in a 3-3 while he was at Brum. I could be making this all up

Yeah you could be right, I'm far from sure it was Sheff Utd.

Edit yeah was Brum

I know. Beggars belief that they've provided CL finalists in two of the last three seasons eh? It's a fix.
