I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

FFS, I've seen teams implode from far better positions than Lincolns (or Cardiffs for that matter).

We have 45 points to play for. Forty fucking five!!!!

You chuck in the towel if you want to. That's what negheads do.

I still think we could be champions.

Only got to look at Coventry in championship.

They looked home and hosed a couple months back . Boro go top tonight if they win. Ipswich and hull in 3rd and 4th are only 5 points off top.

Loads for points to play for and plenty of water to flow under plenty of bridges before end of season.

Automatics are well within reach.

relegation battle is becoming fascinating in our league, vale have gone, after that any 3 from poss 12 still a chance of going

Vale aren't in the Prem?

Why am I watching a SSN debate about whether Eddie Howe should go

With 2 CL campaigns in 3 years ago a trophy they're as good as they've ever been in a league that's more competitive than it's ever been

They're just on a bad run

And now they're onto Brighton

Seems mid table is not enough

They've reached that same patch we did, folk bored with midtable mediocrity and forgetting who they are.

Their fun in the sun will come to an end one day.

Diminishing returns after a long-serving manager. Look at Wolves. Actually thought it would happen at Brentford

Only 2 teams that matter…

Would love to put a full league between us next season and then smash one in the cup.

So did nearly everyone, fans and pundits.  How annoying is it seeing Andrews cutting it as a premier league manager?

On one hand, he's lucky to have the job because he only got it as the cheap option from within after being their set piece coach - he never had to go and prove himself in the EFL or abroad first.

On the other it shows how much nonsense there is about having to appoint fancy managers with foreign names, if he was a relatively unknown brought in from abroad like Bournemouth and Brighton's managers he'd be on the shortlist for Spurs and Newcastle jobs by now.

Eni on talksport tomorrow with Jordan apparently

That won't go well for her

Can't tell if she's a massive thicko or has a public humiliation fetish. Possibly both.

Would like to see Wrighty doing a flying headbutt on her.

The only way the goal stands is it they now start giving advantage to the player commiting a foul.

If Haaland doesnt pull the liverpool player back, the ball doesnt go in, and its a red.

If the ball went in, without Haaland pulling him back, its a goal and no red.

Its unseemly, but its the only, and the correct, decision.

Whilst all this is technically correct, if the ref had shown common sense and given the goal, then no one would have bothered, indeed they would have applauded him for over ruling VAR.

I doubt very much any repercussions would have come the ref's way neither.

You can't have a ref just deciding what is "common sense" when he feels like it, and VAR makes that more unlikely anyway.

He would've been bollocked by his bosses and most probably demoted to the Championship next weekend.

You can if he so chooses.

We had a ref making his Premier league debut the other day, and over ruling VAR after they had asked him to take a look at the screen.

He ultimately makes the decision, not those in a studio.

It's up the the PGMOL or whoever is in charge to assess the ref's performance later.

As others have said, no one would have bothered one iota had he just allowed the goal to stand.

You think he should just ignore a blatant foul by Haaland, and then give him an advantage ?

An that then there would be no repurcussions ?

Are we really at the point where people are suggesting that officials should ignore the laws of the game sometimes because it is only for a trivial thing such as a goal counting or not ?

The common sense he shosed was that once the foul was highlighted to him (don't forget he initially gave the goal) was to properly disallow the goal, and then show the Liverpool player the red card.

I think people forget that its a sport, with rules, rather than entertainment.

Maybe, but I doubt it very much. Fans and the football world would, in general, have backed him.
