I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

In halls at uni we had one guy with an Amiga and we would play it for ages. He hated us as we'd want to play it for ages and he'd want to go to bed

To the point where he went for a piss and we locked the door so he couldn't get in stayed playing it till 6am whilst he was locked out of his own room 😀

Bloody hell, this mirrors our experience so much! Exactly the same, guy with an Amiga, not ironic at all to call him very sensible, he’d start telling us he needed to go to sleep and we’d try every trick in the book to keep playing into the early hours!

Very naughty, on one occasion, he hadn’t locked his room door, when he  went home for the weekend. We spent the whole weekend in his room! 🤣

SWOS 96/97 on the PC for me. Would always have Bangor City winning the Champions League within 6 years.

And then Championship Manager 3 came out…..

SWOS

Tony Daley was rapid so just stick him up front

Scoring from kick off on an icy pitch was always the challenge

All English semi in the Europa

Whether forest or villa win they should be favourites with Braga or Freiburg in the other semi

Palace favourites for the conference League as well

Though when we got a house in 97 the playstation was out and Wipeout was the big game

Two mates would endlessly play it trying to beat the others time. To the point it came down to milliseconds

If one got the advantage the other was determined to beat it

To the point that one missed one of his final exams trying to beat the other

He missed out on both

Can see two of the three European trophies residing in England for the next 12 months or so. Just not the big one.

aye, Arsenal are definitely wobbling

going to struggle over 2 legs v Atletico, and if they do get past them, can't see them beating either PSG or Bayern

though Kane scoring the winner against them in the final would be amusing

am rooting for Bayern here on in

Forest for the EL

Palace foer the ECL

It definitely would. As you say, the Arsenal-Atletico Madrid war of attrition could go either way. Can't see who ever progresses beating the winners of the other tie.

I would be delighted if Bayern won it. For Harry Kane.

Hope Coventry go up tonight, didn't realise they went down to as low as L2 just 10 years back.

Although he denied Nolan 20 Engalnd caps back int day.i quite like Frank.

Cov look shite!

Based on this half, and drawing at home to Wednesday last weekend - looks very much like the pressure is getting to them.

Good job they’ve got such a lead because they’ll go up regardless of nerves

They are essentially already promoted

Good point. I hadn’t realised the goal difference effect.

To be honest, I was just surprised at how poor that half was, they looked lost. Blackburn were all over them to be fair, not sure how long they’ll be able to keep that up. That lad on loan from Arsenal on the right is a handful!

Fair play

Their rise should give us hope

I hadn't realised they hadn't been promoted to the top flight since Jimmy Hill was manager, 1967.

So give or take a few, none of the Coventry fans there tonight have seen it happen before.

Blackburn the best away ground to go to for promotion, being the biggest away end in the country, what would we give to need a point at Ewood to go up, and to actually do it a few minutes from the end.

A memory that might not be beaten for their fans (I know one that was there, lives in Worsley, known him 6 months and only found out he was a football fan never mind Cov fan last night!)

Frankie Worthy winner that got us promoted there was about 23000 Bolton on that night

Yes I meant in modern times.

We could have played at any number of grounds in the 70s and taken 15k or whatever, because it was easy to get into home ends, we've all done it on occasion.  Not so easy now, I didn't notice any Coventry fans in the Blackburn end despite how big the game was for them, you can't just walk upto the turnstile and pay to get in, with memberships etc.

PS 23k?  Is that an estimate?  Only 5k Blackburn then, I wasn't there so I've no idea.

23k seems high but there was Bolton in all 4 stands

Now, to be 17th every season of the next 15. That's, essentially, how it worked for them last time.

Only Stockport left now that can knock Cardiff into the playoffs.

Stevenage and Plymouth winning

Stockport winning as well

Lincoln level.

Plenty of time for it all to change.
