I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Doesn't make financial sense. The second is only costing £20, then you're charging £30 for the third. Surely it should be "2 for £80".

£50 per gram

then £35 for two

then £33.33 for three

the price does go down but 3 doesn't feel like a deal

Just noticed champions league & conference league qualifiers start on Tuesday

What a big pile of shite

when I was just checking what venues quarters and semis are at

I noticed the MLS is in full swing weekend of the final

that's a piss take

how many countries have hosted a world cup whilst their domestic league was going on

I'm thinking none

Will it have an adverse effect on the World Cup?

Not one iota. Where's the problem?

As you do.

With a few little NW clubs having some new works done on pitch and some on other parts, 3 clubs asked to use the Old Lady for upcoming games....Preston was selected based on expected higher crowds.

Its nice to help out those less fortunate.

Those 3 clubs....PNE, Wigan & Bolton....

That seems a bit unlikely given we've been drawn away

Discussions & decision was before the draw, talk of other games too for some bigger friendlies.

Interesting!

Still weird.

And we've got 2 home friendlies starting 2 weeks before the cup match but the pitch won't be ready?

They have put off doing some work on the concourses till next season, so was exploring other venues.

Its just what all good clubs do really, help each other out. The cabins at Eddie Davies are all donated from Everton when we moved training grounds, you used our team coach a few times for Wembley trips.

Must just have a good relationships.

I believe that when FV took over they had meetings with Everton to pick their brains on connecting the club with the community.

When Bolton were at their very nadir Everton & Stretford waved some loan fees we owed them, I suspect other things too that aren't as well known.

There was no need to do that ... not sure why someone wouldn't if able to but it was their gift to us.

I'd hope we would do similar if ever in a position to (except for Wigan, obviously).

Very decent of them . As they say you dont kick a man when he's down .

We'd probably even do it for Wigan. Off the pitch clubs are quite supportive of one another.

Everton / Bill Kenwright also donated to the Bolton staff wages when the club was really struggling.

Fellow founder members. Not to be sniffed at.

IIRC Everton were the most supportive club at the time, which I will always appreciate. Also an honourable mention for Preston, who sent thousands in vouchers for the staff. Nearly every other club, large or small, did FA. So it's fuck off to them and fair fucks to Everton and Preston👏

first round of the Scottish league cup tonight

Thats the type of thing the club is really really great at, along with charity and anything to do with kids and local and wider area.

Pretty much everything apart from football ffs.
