Don't think anyone is belittling European matches.

Simply a case of priorities for a club within whatever league they're in.

If we'd gone to rat shit, then the conference league, or whatever we were in would become priority. Same for any club.

Once you're dining at the top table, and maybe in or around the European places, what becomes important then?

As folk have said, at that point owners' and fans' priorities and desires may diverge.
