I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Have to break out the zimmer frames from our end at least. Pretty much left to the yoof to embarrass themselves these days

Expecting the sunday around 'muff to be a bit lively. Won't be as bad as '83 when they brought 10,000 down when winning Div 3 Championship

Extra door staff at the Barbican then :)

Doesn't matter tonight, hoping Accy win at Wembley anyway.

Been to both Plymouth and Accrington, but not to watch Bolton.

Think a weekend in Plymouth looks a better idea than one in Accrington

I don't mind which of Plymouth, Pompey or Wimbledon come up..........anything but Accrington.

Pompey allowed to sign keeper last night.

He lets in a howler tonight.

good reffing but that Pompey player needs a good shoeing the lying cunt

Great start to a game very lively 2 management staff sent off after 10 minutes there is life down the leagues and its great to see.

Fuckin ell it's all going off.

Player head butts someone and ref misses it. Manager gets sent off remonstrating about it.

Said player then scores.

He's also ex Southampton haha

Didnt realise Paul Cook was in charge of Portsmouth, the Tranmere Wigan and Wolves shithouse. For that reason i want Plymouth to win.

Bit of a kit clash going on by the way.

I'd be fucked without my specs there tonight.

Only just found out that just one team in the history of the Championship play offs has reached Wembley after losing the away leg first.

And that is us in 1994/95.

Never been to Portsmouth, believe we've had some great days/nights out there down the years?

The afternoon we first qualified for Europe was a great day out. Only time I've stayed down there but enjoyed most trips down there

Amazing trip that.

We did two nights.

Stood in a pub with Pompey lads singing Bolton songs in unison with Milan Mandaric doing a speech on top of a chair. Very bizarre :D

Made us very welcome that day. Belting night out too.

Went down for the last game of 98-99 when we pipped Wolves to the last play-off spot. Night out in Southampton with my mate from Cardiff, rugby lad, two Southerners called it on and got mullered.

Way back on the M6 with a scarf across the back we spots a Wolves car so we slotted in front of them and did a dance whilst getting the Vs.

Aye, great day that

Me and gumbo went with the Anthill Mob and Undies got a bit excited and pushed me in some nettles

I'd heard the Portsmouth lot were really good with us, always seemed like a very decent set of supporters. I bet a lot of them have completed the 92 in the last few years too!

Good memories at Pompey, however only been Plymouth once and that was a bloody long time so Plymouth for me

We pretty much spent 15 years fucking wolves over.

Fantastic :D

The European one, we were there early doors, their mob had a look but nothing doing. The cops frog marched us to the ground, forcing us through locals with no idea what was going on, one lad ended in tears as his Portsmouth v Southampton dvd ended up in the gutter. Bullying cunts.

40 years of going, and all sorts  - good and bad - in the memory bank. But the memory of that day - or the few minutes after the final whistle when it dawned on us what we'd just done -  will stay as long as any. Any.

Plus, for some odd reason I think Pompey is probably the away ground I've been to most watching us. God knows how, but there you go.

I think the good relations began because Ferny became good mates with Westwood ?? -the Pompey fan with the bell, tattoos, wig & big hat, so they looked after Bolton down there & a couple of times the Pompey fans were put up & stayed over in Bolton.

Different story in the 70's though & it was a very rough away day then & (as has been said before ) the trip on the league liner finished up with a very scary walk/run back to the station & the train getting bricked.

That one eluded me for a few seasons

The season they done us 4-0 I didn't go as it was midweek but did something like 14 out of 19 aways that season which was my record

The season we got in Europe I was an afternoon date because she wanted to go for a picnic and had just delivered the money shot when I got a text saying we'd got in Europe

Was a good day

Still never been to pompey

Why the feck don't away goals count?
