I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Who was the yank we had kicking around

Black lad

Was he called Johan Smith?

Apparently, if they win tonight they will be the first team ever to hold both major European trophies at the same time (until next week when they have to hand back the CL trophy)

They handed it back a few weeks ago

Fair enough, somebody on 5 Live spouting bollocks then, although technically I suppose they are still the Champions League Champions until one of the German teams wins it next week, so tomorrow morning, if they win, they could claim to be current Europa League and Champions League holders (even though they may not physically have one of the pots)

Two ex bolton on opposing sides in the Europa final tonight.

Random question. Has there ever been a time when two clubs from the same city have held both European trophies (or 2 out of 3 back when the CWC was around)? I cant think of any examples

Liverpool were still European champions when Everton won the Cup Winners Cup, but only for another week or two.

Didn't their used to be a rule, about only 1 team per City could play in Europe at a time ??

Wasn't the old Fairs Cup based on only one team from each city allowed to enter?

Wonder if John Terry has got full kit on underneath, ready to run on to get the cup.

If they win,naturally.
