Zach Clough

Worthy of his own thread surely.

Every paper today names in the headline.

Can't remember a player stealing the headlines like that for a long time.

Bet he's having a massive wank this morning.

....the feel good factor continues....

  • I've not been this excited about a debutant since Joe Riley starred in the 5-0 thrashing of Stoke.

Forest have quickly realised he's a Division 3 player

Clough is a good player, but he's nowhere near the "superstar" that some have made out he is. I'll be very surprised if he plays consistently for Forest, especially with the attacking options they already have. All in all, I'm not sure what possessed Forest to buy him.

He's called Clough

I hope we swap divisions with them and bring him home.

I know it's early to tell but I did think it was a crap move for him, don't think he wanted to go either.

They are at Wigan next week, big game.

Jesus some miserable fuckers already writing him off on here. I hope he does well but at the same time now he's not bwfc I'm not too mithered

Not writing him off, mate.

I always said he wasn't as good as people were making him out to be.

What's he up to these days?

Warming Rochdales bench

If he's fit

Doesn't really need to get a real job ever again

Damn, that's a bit shit.

Sad to think he may have had a slightly better career if we could have kept him but financially he would have never hit the dizzy heights he has.

maybe one day he will make the grade

He'll be back with us season (assuming PP isn't)

Wouldn't surprise me that.

He had a bad injury earlier this season. Guess he's just working his way back in. Either way it's a damned shame.

Would definitely have him back next season in League One.

Been a victim of circumstance in that he was uprooted from here on deadline day, couldn't get going at Forest, brought back here as a PR move and now has struggled for fitness at one of the worst teams in League One.

Even including his last doomed stint, his Championship record for us is a goal every 2.3 games, which isn't bad for an overhyped dwarf.

Not for me. I really rate Keith Hill and always gets his sides playing football on the floor which you would think would suit him. Says it all that he never got a regular start or run of games there.

Problem KH had of recent was trying to play ‘good football’ on a sand pit.

same situation re ZC trying to play in that team on that pitch.

Dale will go down because they can’t addapt to the reality of the above.

Good footballing side my arse.

Right position, right football style, a very effective player. He brings other players into the game too. Vela has not been as effective since Zach left.

100 % agree. Worked well together and scored goals.

Zach Clough? We've got similar in Oztumer.

The problem isn't the player...

Aye. Play em both in a team of little uns.

One out on the left cutting in, one out on the right cutting in, then you wouldn't have to have 2 lumps up top.

Clough can score goals, especially in League 1, sire he hit double figures in the half season before we moved him on

No point recruiting him into a Parky squad though

I wonder how much money we wasted bringing him back last season

His goal against Hull, and the three points might have been worth it!

Clough is like many flair players in the Championship and League 1 - great on his day but his days are too infrequent and you struggle to get him on the pitch because of injury.
