Mounts Kipper Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Lennons on tonight discussing all the games it's great listening. Quote
ianofcleveleys Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 (edited) Got it on, it certainly is, good programme and he's a good listen. Swatted off Chappers little try at getting a reaction out of the Villa odds! Edited February 11, 2015 by ianofrochdale Quote
Sweep Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I've been listening, he just seems to talk sense, it's actually quite refreshing. I get the feeling that he's destined for big things Quote
no balls Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Swatted off Chappers little try at getting a reaction out of the Villa odds! he's a Munich Quote
MalcolmW Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 he's a Munich to be fair he was brought up in Trafford (and still lives there). Quote
davidjack Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 On Villa, Curbishley is 16/1 with one bookies...that fucker will still be being linked with jobs when he's dead. Quote
Spider Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Villa would be perfect for NL We'll all be worried every time a job like this comes up, and rightly so. Quote

I can't think of many jobs that are less suited for him. Villa are in freefall and you wonder who will be in charge this time next year. Anyone with a brain cell will stay well away until the dust has settled. Quote

We were in free fall, it didn't faze Lennon, not saying he'd leave for villa but you never know. Edited February 11, 2015 by Mounts Kipper Quote
ianofcleveleys Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Not sure anyone in a job will fancy it till Lerner flogs the club and some other crowd comes in. Lenny is destined for a top job at some point but, for me, he still needs to allow enough time with us to have some tangible evidence to put on the table at an interview. Hopefully he sees it that way Quote
Sweep Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Not sure anyone in a job will fancy it till Lerner flogs the club and some other crowd comes in. With this new telly deal, Lerner might decide he's interested again... Quote
hughmungus Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Thought it was funny when Browny came on during the interview with Big Sam and asked him if he had played Long Ball or Long Passing tonight, Sam declined to comment but laughed. Quote

Hopefully he sees it that way Yeah, that was my point. The future is dodgy there, no idea of who will be in charge at the top - and so no guarantees for a manager. We obviously were struggling, but I dont think we were in freefall. Villa look like City a few years back. If they go down and don't bounce back straight away, they'll be knackered. Quote
Wullie Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 To be honest, Villa should have gone a few seasons ago Quote
COYW Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I think Lennon would be well advised to steer clear of programmes like that tonight. It was plain embarrassing at times with Chapman trying to get him to comment on the odds for the Villas job and then that Villa supporting presenter literally begging him to manage them, not to mention Sinclair's quip when he claimed Lennon had said Ings should go to Villa. The True Marple White Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 to be fair he was brought up in Trafford (and still lives there). I used to work with his step dad and he told me years ago that we tried to sign him as a player towards the end of his career Quote
Traf Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Why would we sign Chappers? To help fill our quota of cunts. Quote
Whites man Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Why would we sign Chappers? We made stranger signings under Big Sam. Quote
COYW Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Lennon on Five Live again at 9pm. Tune in to hear which club Chapman's linking him with tonight. Quote
Cheese Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 He should be sorting out our defence, not flouting himself about on 5Live. Lennon out. Quote
ianofcleveleys Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 I'm sure he'll be on the training ground early enough tomorrow morning Quote
superkev Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 He should be sorting out our defence, not flouting himself about on 5Live. Lennon out. Speaking of the defence. Against Watford Dervite trotting back on the first goal and completely out of position on the 3rd. If I were him I'd be afraid. Quote
Cheese Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 I'm sure he'll be on the training ground early enough tomorrow morning Yeah, on the phone to the BBC asking when he can go on air again while the defenders tackle cones. Disgraceful. Quote
COYW Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I think Lennon's under contract to the Beeb. He was part of their World Cup team last summer. He's probably just serving his notice. It's nice for the club to be in the spotlight but it can work both ways. Quote
