I've not been ill for ages, I think working with ill patients makes me a bit immune to lots of stuff now. But my god it's hard being ill and having a 1 year old trash your house whilst having Mr Tumble on repeat, when all you want to do is put your head down and die.

Don't be fucking mard. Have a stiff drink and get the washing and ironing done.

That'll fix you.

I'm fat, old, eat shit, probably drink too much and don't exercise enough but I'm not had a sicky in over 12 months. I do however get a good night sleep in every night do reckon that must counteract my shocking lifestyle

dizzy and neck ache too by any chance?

I was like Bruce Willis in Unbreakable before I had my lad. No days off at all, let alone for shit like colds or mon flu in over 5 years. Colds would clear up in a day.

Since he's been going to nursery in the last 12 months I don't think I've properly shifted a cold for more than a week or two, I feel like shit constantly. The last week I've been blowing "Big Soup" Pea and Ham out of my nose every 14 minutes.

No, not had those symptoms actually

Thought my ear had bunged up with wax after a head cold few weeks ago, went to have it syringed and it was clear.

Turned out it was my eustuchian tube that was blocked. Took 2 weeks to clear but when it did, bliss.

This is where I was at..

Since I had the a tumour removed before Xmas ive beeb constantly I'll..

Scars still sore as day one and it ripped a little last night.

2 chest infections and lost a stone in last 3 weeks..

Reckon I have transformed into Mr glass

You'll pick up mate.

I've had 2 stem cell transplants/high dose chemo,

Thalidomide,

Velcade,

steroids, shingles twice and cellulitis as a consequence of medication.

But can still walk to the match, knock about generally and indulge in several daft antics. Man flu is F- all in comparison.

Fair fucks mate.

No problem you just get on with it. I'm fairly fit and there is always someone a lot worse off than you.

When I become King I will stop all sick pay. Man up you work-shy cunts!

Sounds like me, apart from the good nights sleep bit. And I can't remember missing a days work off  sick.
