  • Personally thinkw e need to get out of this attitude of  "were to good for this league", were not to good for any league.

  • We were a spin of the tombola away from the play-offs that season.   Dougie fucked it up with a bizarre team selection on the last day.

Today was awful

And I don't see us getting owt on Tuesday

But we aren't going down. Relax

I didnt like your relaxed attitude yesterday and I don't today! We are not safe!

Our home games are crucial to making sure we stay up and with plenty to spare too. Most away games we have left are against decent teams and Wigan.

Home games are all winnable with Norwich the toughest on paper.

But this is an "anyone can beat anyone" league.

By the time Norwich come they will be suffering the anxiety of making the play-offs or not. Players seeing big money contracts (and maybe others realising they won't be on board next term).

On the other hand all the perceived weak teams will be desperately seeking points.

we are in a relegation battle in my opinion. I don't think we will go down but we need to be very careful.

Millwall's home defeat last night was very good news for us and all the other sides above the bottom 3. Fulham at home and Sheff Weds at home were Millwall's gimme games to catch and up and they picked up one point. Seven of their remaining fixtures are against sides in the top 10.

Wigan and Blackpool's situation looks increasingly irretrievable to me now (what a pleasure to say that!). Millwall might struggle to reach 45/46 points at the rate they are currently accumulating points. We need three wins and some draws to exceed that type of total.

We will pick up enough points to stay up pretty sure of that and then NL job really starts getting ready for next season for me it's shit or bust next season due to the amount of money relegated teams from the prem will have after next season.

Well and truly in it, can't buy a win can't buy a goal and can't keep a fuckin clean sheet

No midfield doesn't help

I am happy to bet 100 quid we won't go down with anyone on here.

We won't go down. The top half gamblers can rip their slips up though I'd say. Can't see getting points away to make that

No one happy with our predicament but if your arse is twitching AGAIN ???? see Paul Hanleys post above, failing that have a spliff. In the immortal words of Corporal Jones, DONT PANIC.

....this predicament can all be traced back to one man!

Yes Freedman 5 points in 11 games less of 0.5 pts per game even after recent bad run and a shed load of injuries lennon on 1.45 points per game. Anyone saying Lennon should be sacked should be locked in a padded cell, and removed from Wanderesways.

Simple solution to this, score first in our home matches. We have conceded first in every home game since before boxing day. Usually manage to get something out of the game, having gone behind, but Leeds, wolves, and watford show its much more difficult to win that way

freedman was boss for 10 games and only got 5 points

in the 9 games lennon has managed against those 10 teams, we've got 8 points

i think lennon has got loads more popints than we wouldve got with freedman in charge

we're ok at scoring, last night was the first game since ipswich in mid-december we failed to score

agree with all the rest mind

It hasn't been said publicly, but I suspect Lennon's task was to steady the ship, respectable league position and push on next year when he gets a proper break to assess, remove, add etc etc.

Folk have got giddy with a good run and a battling performance in the cup. Anything above ok was always going to be a bonus. We will do ok and next year? Depends on business in the close season. But judging by the fact that players are already earmarked to come in, you can guess it'll be busy.

If he can keep the likes of Clayton, Mavies, Clough, Vela etc at the club and fit and bring in some square pegs for square holes, we should be a match for anyone.

There are teams far worse than us down there to worry about relegation right now.

I dont think we will go down, but if i did, im sure id get better odds than evens at the bookies tar.

can't buy a goal?

we've only failed to find the net twice in the last 9 games, one of which was a 0-0 draw away to liverpool

we're 12 points infront of wigan, there is no chance we're going down

Get this season out of the way,and I have a feeling that Uncle Edward might just authorise Lennie to have a little splurge in the summer!! Just an inkling of course, but Eddie may just see it as His best shot at getting back to the prem in his lifetime!!

Edit!! I am assuming Eddie has the same confidence in Neil as most on here do!!

Can't recall the points gap and can't be arsed looking but this sounds like a bit of deja vu. Remember our last season in premier league? At around this stage we were looking down and laughing at Wigan's demise. We know how that ended!

With the FFP restrictions, i have a feeling it will be a very little "splurge"  -  even if Eddie wanted to give Lennon several million to spend, I'm not sure he'll be allowed to

there are the new rules on ffp but i dunno when that kicks in

theres more wage reduction to come, imo

Hope your right but think we missed the boat the season Dawson was with us a little bit of investment then would have opened the door. I'm not expecting any serious play off dalliances now for a long time.
