February 28, 201511 yr Was this the match in 1987 when we were relegated? If it was - that was my first ever match! So actually, despite the result, quite a positive match for me as the next season I became a regular in the "sitting on the railings of the Burnden Terrace and only see your dad at full time" gang. For me, Boro in Carling final was frustrating as we had so long in the game to do something to get a result. That's the one, dropping down to division 4 was the pits made worse by having to go to school in Blackburn the day after
February 28, 201511 yr I still can't talk about Black Sunday without wanting to smash something up. Very briefly then the match was?
February 28, 201511 yr Usual for me. Black Sunday. Stoke. Tranmere away league cup semi. Spurs muamba match after the game. When Coventry beat us 5 1 at home. Boro league cup final. Strangely Sheffield wed at home this season. We drew and for a split second I was disappointed we hadn't lost to get Dougie out . depressing. Someone start a best match thread Edited February 28, 201511 yr by Ghana White

Someone start a best match thread Wanted to mention that sheff weds game but didnt want to come across as obsessed haha Sheff weds had 70% possession and 6,000 shots on target. That game and plenty others around it such as wolves away is the lowest I've ever been as a Bolton fan. It was awful.
February 28, 201511 yr Very briefly then the match was? Briefly? You can even have the highlights from Munich TV http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Features/2011/Sep/video-1996-bolton-wanderers-0-manchester-united-6.aspx

February 28, 201511 yr http://youtu.be/e49ogV_WxFg Still not watched the highlights of that game and I can't remember a single thing about the game after they scored.
February 28, 201511 yr Just watched the Ipswich highlights. We scored some tremendous goals. If Jay Jay had scored that Holdsworth free kick we still be purring about it now.
February 28, 201511 yr Just braved the Boro highlights we were never going to win that game with that twat reffing it didn't know he was ref that day, what a joke. How this man is now in charge of referees is beyond me he was either incompetent or bent. Edited February 28, 201511 yr by Mounts Kipper

February 28, 201511 yr Four spring to mind Ipswich/Barry Knight Stoke, FA Cup Semi Black Sunday Black Forest last weekend You can not put Ipswich in with that lot. Even though we lost, that Ipswich match was without doubt the most intense match I have ever been too in my life. It had everything. Glad I saw it first hand because if i hadn't i would have put the stories down as fishermen tales. Easily in my top 5 of best matches I have watched.
February 28, 201511 yr I was feeling a bit low before I saw this thread. Now I feel suicidal ........ and I didn't even click on any of the videos.

Wouldn't put it in my top 5 but I know what you mean. It's one of those 'I was there' matches like Reading at Wembley, Hull on the Friday night and Darlington on Bonfire night
