  • So they have £700 left to piss up the wall then.     As already said, food banks are by and large abused by those who don't really need them putting even further strain on those who actually need

Would it help if folk living in council houses with empty bedrooms moved into smaller properties? Has anyone thought of that?

Does a first class honour degree mean they'll be a good teacher though? Sounds like an ill thought out idea.

No, and neither does a PhD.

The best teacher may have a second and a BUCS cup-winners medal.

But increasing the competitiveness of teaching as an option as opposed to financial posts may work overall.

nope... daft aint it..

that short of maths and physics teachers

No, can't be. Loads of people "fucking love science" according to my Facebook.

Apart from when you studied it you lying twats.

They might just prefer to not teach it. Those that can...... :)

£25k to then decide " i won't bother?" And the NHS can't afford £3k to 4k per year to fund training of young student nurses from the UK!

He has a platform already by virtue of his fame. I think tackling his views and debating them isn't a bad thing. My irritation comes with the fact that it is too late to register to vote. This should have happened at the start of the campaign if at all.

My postal vote is in, job done

That Miliband meme is wrong, the peasants won't eat fish, they don't like the bones, replace it with Nandos Chicken, in some boneless and skinless 'here comes the aeroplane' form and you'd be on the right lines...

Milliband meeting with darling Russell is another example of grubbing around for otherwise idle votes, but this makes him any different from the others from all parties for what reason?

It could be argued that, as Brand is against all politics, brave Ed was taking one for the team by fronting up to him.

Vote Socialist Labour - Bring Back Power To The People.

Edited by Youri McAnespie

Good Morning, My name's Eddie Yates, but you might know me better from the characters I've portrayed on the telly; Ziggy from the Royal Family or Geoffrey, the long-suffering husband of Hyacinth Bouquet on Keeping Up Appearances. I've been dead now, for quite some time, but when I was alive I didn't have much time for politics, that was until my great mate Ricky Wilson told me, via a medium, of the superb things that The Socialist Labour Party are doing, I'm now a Socialist Labour Spectre - through and see-through, I won't be there in body on Election Day, but I'll be there in spirit, willing the lads and lasses on. I urge you to do so too, 2nd June 2015 Vote for Socialist Labour. Over and Out, I'm fading now, cheerio all...

If those who think Brand is anything but a hypocritical fop haven't registered then maybe it's best they haven't.

Polls have Bolton West as Labour hold.

disappointing

Well it is what anyone who has a basic grasp of economics has been saying all along. Labour's massive failure this campaign is their choice not to stand up and say this, shout it from the rooftops.

In truth they should have fought the ridiculous Tory notion that encouraged people to imagine the nation's economy in the same way as a household economy far earlier and tried to put a stop to the re-writing of history from Osborne and Cameron sooner.

PS Brand is a tit but if he manages to get youngsters engaged and interested in politics then that is a good thing in my view. The Punch and Judy nature of the main parties is a massive turn off to a lot of people.

Youri, I think he was married to Hyacinth's sister btw.

he's not though, he's spouting like a preacher what they should think rather than getting them to engage

And he was Twiggy in the Royal Family btw

I can never understand a fucking word that Brand says so he would probably make a brilliant politician and which ever flat dick find that cunt attractive need to give their head a wobble

Yeah except that Martin Wolf in today's FT doesn't wholly agree, amongst many more, and I suspect he has a basic grasp of economics. He instead takes an honest and balanced view.

If you reading the Guardian without an accompanying huge pinch of salt then, well, you won't exactly be getting a fair and balanced representation of views.

Why is a household budget a bad analogy for the economy? Very few analogies are perfect. Why is that one so wrong?

is that not what all politicians and supporters of specific parties do though?
