March 30, 201511 yr http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32112666 John Barnes: Black managers struggle to find a new job Former England and Liverpool winger John Barnes says black managers struggle to find a new job after being sacked by a club. The 51-year-old, who has managed Celtic and the Jamaica national team, has not had a coaching job since being fired by Tranmere in October 2009. "A white manager loses his job and gets another job, he loses his job, he gets another job," Barnes said. "Very few black managers can lose their job and get another job." Barnes told ITV documentary John Barnes: Sports Life Stories: "What I can judge it from is by looking at society. How many black people are there in the higher echelons of any industry? We can talk about journalism, we can talk about politics. So why should football be any different?" See I'm as lefty liberal as your likely to see (apparently anyway) But this stuff makes my shit itch. No John ...you can't get a job because your fucking shit. you shit cunt.
March 30, 201511 yr Politics and journalism, these types tend to be from public schools. I blame the parents for not sending them there in the first place. Barnes was shit as a manager, dog shit. Chris Powell and Chris Hughton went and got another job, rather than blaming racism.
March 30, 201511 yr Barnes was fcukin kack as a Manager just ask those 2 set of cunts Celtic & Trashmere
March 30, 201511 yr He had three jobs. 2 of which he was sacked from for being terrible. Did he walk on out Jamaica to manage Tranmere? Anyhow, he was shite, and now is trying to say he is discriminated against. An interesting comparison would be, John Barnes was absolutely shite at Celtic yet got 2 further chances. How many "white managers" only get one real chance? I reckon a lot.
March 30, 201511 yr Paul Ince worked his way up the ladder no problems and still got jobs after proving himself to be ultimately shit at Rovers I don't think it's a race thing though I would like to know why many African nations often choose to employ someone who looks like they are from a German 80s soft rock band I typed that as a glib comment, but then I'd thought I'd check here are the head coaches of the 16 african nations from this years tournament - research based on type "country" + head coach, so they may be out of date, but anyway
March 30, 201511 yr Zambia now I'm not so ignorant that I think only back people come from africa but 12 out of 16 african football associations employ folk who look like they're not from that country so my scientific conclusion is they generally don't make for good managers which, funnily enough, John Barnes himself is concrete evidence of
March 30, 201511 yr and to back this scientific investigation further, looking at the choices of england manager since the turn of the century - again, the theory is proven we only employed capello and ericsson because there aren't any decent england managers - again, backed up by the fact that steve mcclaren failed to take us to the euros and hodgson gave us our worst world cup since i can remember conclusion if you can't find one good enough, look elsewhere, it's not racist, don't employ someone based on the colour of their skin, employ them based on if you think they are capable of doing the job
March 30, 201511 yr Ivory Coast is Jamie Lannister from Game of Thrones Burkina Faso's manager is amusingly called Paul Put
March 30, 201511 yr How many chinky, asian managers are there out there, it's not just the black fellas who are shit
March 30, 201511 yr Barnes was fcukin kack as a Manager just ask those 2 set of cunts Celtic & Trashmere Agree with this. Some men cut out to manage some aren't Barnes is in the latter category.
March 30, 201511 yr It's to do with the african countries being split up into tribes. In Ghana anyway none of the tribes are that keen on each other and if a bloke from one tribe managed them and lost a few games then the other tribes would kick off and say he should be sacked. Or say it was tribal favouritism that got him the job. The only way to avoid this is get in a neutral who they can all hate equally

March 30, 201511 yr Thought he did a good job at Tranmere. On the negative side though he's a tit and deluded. Has he even done his coaching badges (whatever they are) ?
