My lasting memory of that game is everyone being giddy as fuck chucking pints around at half time in the ESL.

Think that was probably the last time we were happy at a home game?

Aye even more so because my mate who no longer goes was nobbing a bar maid who no longer works there who was giving us free pints.

My everlasting memory of Tom Eaves is him running around like a headless chicken putting powder puff challenges in during the later stages of that last match of the season against Blackpool whilst Kevin Davies sat in the stands.

Rob Hall's debut?

Rob Hall's debut?

Aye, in a game we had to win.

Me and mate had to google to find out who the fuck he was when they announced the team.

He was subbed after 20 mins.

Dougie really was fucking shite wasn't he?

Scarily though, his win % is/was the third highest at Bolton since Bruce Rioch (he's only behind Big Sam and Colin Todd).

Unfortunately they were all 1-0 and dull as dishwater.

According to lee Anderson 'a few big-hitters in the squad will be gone' and not on loan

'a few big-hitters in the squad will be gone' and not on loan

This is pretty good news, hopefully we're not having to subsidise them going though, which I fear might be the case in some instances (namely Amos and Davies)

Is Lee Anderson any relation of Sweaty Ken?

Son of KA

He's like David golds son, but doesn't use Twitter to circulate information. He rings up iles and tells him.

If the stuff he is saying comes true then it is a positive to have this approach.

I still find it disturbing how Deano hasn't said anything, but according to KA's son all is rosy.

Deano was never out of the paper for the first few weeks..

Not quite transfer news but I was chatting with a distant family member at a do yesterday, a centre half who's played a fair bit of league and a lot of non-league football.

He asked what I thought of Gary Madine and I told him not much. He said he was curious as he'd marked him about 6 years back while GM was at Carlisle. Said ordinarily when you came up against the pro's they got a tanking but GM didn't get a sniff out of him all day. For balance he told me he'd also man marked Jermaine Defoe who scored 6 (not in the same game obvs).

He also played under Super John at Gresley. Told me he got on with him alright but some of the less experienced lads didn't like him as he wasn't short on handing out bollockings :-)

He's also pretty good mates with Mark Davies so he said next time he bumps into him he'll ask for the truth about this Shef Wed 'deal' and get a bit of lowdown on Neil Lennon.

I'm basically the new reluctant Nicky! :-)

if Madine doesn't bag in the first 10 minutes in the first match of the season it's going to be pandemonium.

It'll be Crewe all over again with beckford.

Get him to tell the glass knee chuffer he's been stealing a living for years.

I'd be happy if he just jumped for a header.

If Madine starts the first 10 minutes I'll be devestated. The shithouse

Ha ha - he told me he's going to ask him if he knows 'he's become a hate figure at Bolton' :-)

If youre good enough to attract interest from arsenal your worth more than 1.5million quid. End of.

Not strictly true

Not when the selling club is hard up as we are, teams will get away with paying cheaper prices knowing we are desperate for cash

Likewise, when a team like city gets taken over they end up paying inflated prices as the selling club knows they have cash

Dunno what holding is worth but it seems low for the impact he's had so far, which includes attracting arsenals and other top clubs interest

It is low. I think you're bang on though.

It's no different when we tried to sign Gregg Wylde for next to nought. I found it funny then.

Probably as arsenal are now

Smalling , 13 games for Fulham

12m to some Shit team

Calum Chambers went for £16 million after 22 games for soton.
