Rembrandt Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Can we apply for voluntary relegation, like they do in non -league ? Save the stretched out agony. If we can't afford to be in the top 2 divisions, then why not bite the bullet. Quote

snowball Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Which other clubs have 'found a way round ffp'  Certainly not forest or Blackburn. That's despite forest selling 2 of their best players last January to try and avoid it. FFP has more holes than a swiss cheese. Citeh's lawyers did a pretty good job of demolishing it and QPR have so far ignored it with no consequence. The three clubs that got hit all owned by foreigners who the Football League know are not fit and proper even if they couldn't stop them, the Chicken Pluckers, Italian tax dodger and Fawaz at Forest all been too high profile to ignore, maybe a way of discouraging others? Of these though Leeds & Forest seem to have done ok recruiting, certainly better than us as their owners haven't thrown the towel in. Quote
Big E Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 So basically teams with money can pay their way out. Again we have no money. What do you fucking morons not get. Honestly. Quote

I can read up all i like but that's what it boils down to. If the owners given up, the club is just treading water waiting to drown, what's the point? And Casino I don't want to buy a football club so as a fan I can't expess an opinion without the usual sarcasm? Like I said you're welcome to it, enjoy it with the other super fans in Division 3 next season, I'm out. Eddie Davies has money he is choosing not to risk any of it, I get it and Big E I certainly felt like a fucking moron going to Huddersfield and expecting anything different. Quote
Casino Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 you cant compare ffp that applies to city with ffp that applies to our division and expect to be taken seriously  it just shows ignorance of the facts   davies has done his bit  he wants to get out just as much as you want him out  i just think anybody who turned a blind eye to our overspending while getting pissed up in europe, but whines now is a fcuking hypocrite Quote

snowball Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 The principle is the same Premier or Football League, it can be challenged in the courts but no point in banging on about FFP as has been said its not FFP that's killing us at the moment.  Davies has done his bit but the club is now dying on it's feet and I realise there are no offers so he is stuck here, no good for anybody  So basically anybody who moans now is a hypocrite? None of us were complaining while we were in Europe we were all loving it and why not? We were spending too much but the money from the premier league was ridiculous as well, most of us realised it probably wouldn't last as we are a small club, and that it could all go wrong when Allardyce eventually left but Coyle hadn't come along and fucked us up like he did so it wasn't inevitable then that the fall would be as steep and dramatic as it has turned out. I think Coyles spending on crap players fucked us up more than the spending in the Prem. Quote
snowball Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 You don't get it though or you wouldn't be part of the "we could have bought le fondre" crowd. BWFC have no money BWFC has no money. Eddie Davies has money, if he wanted to find a way to sign ALF he could have made it happen. He didn't and we lost the chance to sign a proven goalscorer who would at the very least keep us in this division and just maybe protect Eddie's investment a little bit more and make the club more attractive to any new owner, but it wasn't to be. As it is we are now relegation fodder, skint and hopeless. Also we have no money but again, how much is this new striker going to cost, will he be as good value as ALF? Â And before I forget who was it that confidently declared Lennon didn't want ALF anyway in the summer? Lennon's comments since have certainly disproved that. Quote
Casino Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 lennon said we needed to sign a big lump  he said that last saturday  on monday he tried to sign emnes  dont believe all lennon says    and remind me of our results with le fondre last season - they were slightly above relegation form Quote
Casino Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 i will agree with you that coyle gets a fcuking easy ride for the mess he left us in  in fact, i wish you hadnt mentioned him  i was planning on some sleep Quote
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 it wasn't inevitable then that the fall would be as steep and dramatic as it has turned out. Â Honestly it's not that steep and certainly not that dramatic. Â Talk to any number of the teams who went down from the Premier League, and then down again, and sometimes even down again. Talk to Portsmouth fans who went from all but qualifying for Europe down to League 2, funnily enough because they were financially fucked up. Â We have slowly over the past 10 years gotten worse and worse, mostly because we started to draw the purse strings tighter, but we haven't dropped like the stone you're all suggesting. People are stating "Europe to League 1 in 10 years", and we're not even down to league 1 yet! Hardly steep and/or dramatic. Unless you're a drama queen, of course - I'm beginning to think many on here are just that. Quote
