So playing well in roughly 25 games (give or take) out of 100 makes you become in the 'spine' of the team? If BWFC would of lost Darren Pratley this summer would this of made them a worse team?

Yes imo.

 

I don't believe it a coincidence that our season petered out and went to shit as soon as Pratley did his hamstring. Lenny was getting the best out him.

You are conflating two things. If we weren't skint nobody would care if Pratley went because feasibly we could sign someone as good or better. But our financial situation means that doing so is much tougher than keeping Pratley unless there happens to be an ideal cheap free player around. If there was a team like QPR would be chasing them. As it is they are chasing Pratley.

 

We were better with him in the side last season. To lose him would require suitable replacement and we already need another midfield general on top of that even with Pratley.

 

Not irreaceable if we had money. But would be a huge loss in our current situation.

Absolutely - changed man under Lennon and showed not just more energy but real quality as well. Highly unlikely we'd have the resources to replace him with somebody as good and entering what are probably his best years as a footballer. If you can't figure out that we missed Pratley when he got injured then you need a head exam.

Amos and Pratley are both in the "stellar" signings bracket when you look at the current context of the club. IMO Amos is a far better example of a modern keeper than Bogdan he's young and will make mistakes but made up we got him or are close

I thought Amos was 24 and Bogdan 28? Don't forget traf keepers don't work in normal ageing terms in footy terms.....which I think is bollox

Agree with this once he's playing regularly I feel there should be big improvement in him. Regarding Bogdan and this isn't a dig at him because he's left I've always felt he was short on the teak toughness you need to be a very top keeper. Suppose time will tell.

I've serious doubts at the top level as I've mentioned but good luck to him it's a good opprtunity for him.

Definitely happier that's without seeing Madine and Morgan play not sure there out special though, another striker another midfielder and a couple of fullbacks and I'll be delighted.
