I'm really not that bothered about Bogdan, he's good and he may well end up ahead of Mignolet because he really is shite, but overall I think Amos is a better keeper.

His kicking is miles better and he seems more assured and in command of his box and the defence in front of him, if he's got that command of a defence he's worked with for two months then I'm sure he'll get even better with more time. I'm very happy with this and it slashes the wages by over half if we get a No2 in for a couple of k a week.

Beckford to PNE confirmed now so it seems (according to BBC website). Two year deal.

He'll probably score against us a couple of times next season but PNE's fans are about to find out that he's not as good at Championship level.

Sometimes a player just needs the right club. He has everything you need to be a striker but his brain seems to get in the way.

Just been having a read on a Liverpool board seeing what the view is on them going for Bogdan.

Fuck me, if you think people on here overreact on transfers, you want to read this.

They have a point. A club allegedly battling for Champions League needs two top goalies battling for the shirt. One long term injury and you are the one being relied on.

I think Bogdan is bottom half Premier League. Above us, but not up to Euro chasing standard. If he gets in the first team there will be nowhere to hide.

Add that to the fact their counterparts will be going for the likes of Higuain and Pogba and they are pissing about signing Danny Ings from Burnley.

From Gerrard to Milner, from Suarez to Ings.

What next? Coutinho to Brunt? Sterling to Jarvis?

Rofl.

Good job their manager is a football genius.

I wonder if the pricks were moaning when they signed Rush from Chester City, Keegan from Scunthorpe etc.?

Aye because things were exactly the same then. If you are a Liverpool fan who has seen your team, stripped of its genuine world star in Suarez struggle to get close to the top, signing a keeper from a side near the bottom of the championship and a striker who was just part of relegated Burnley would hardly inspire confidence that you are set to match the sides above you.

It could all work out brilliantly and Ings could be a world beater but odds are that you get what you pay for now in football with the odd exception here and there.

Bogdan is a class keeper. Pity that he has been injured a bit over the last couple of seasons then he would be a even better bet.

Amos has the potential to be tops, so I am not that downhearted if Bogdan goes to Liverpool.

Sadly for them and others, players at the top of the tree want Champions League - and a good run in it. Liverpool will always be trading down as they aren't in that mix.

Mignolet is not, has never been and never will be shite JSL

aye, was hardly an over-reaction

but

I reckon Liverpool have less chance of CL next season then they did this

really not that strong at all once you get past Coutinho and Sturridge, assuming Sterling leaves, which he will, eventually

they probably see this signing as further regression under Rodgets

According to the BEN, Pratley is set to stay.

Regardless of what some crack addicts say on here, this is great news.

He was our driving force during our best spell in 3 seasons.

He's only shit if he either leaves or has a bad game.

It wouldn't of worried me either way as he's on very good money for championship as I'm sure we'd have got similar quality bosman. However it's good news as it shows we've a decent budget by championship standards to play with. I just wonder if there is investment now on board and we're going about our business quietly before the investment is revealed.

Personally, I think it's great news. Pratley has been a revelation under Lennon and he looks a different player altogether, than the player who was being managed by the two useless clowns before.

That makes absolute sense and I hope you are right. No point in declaring we've got money and pushing up fees/salaries for prospective recruits.

If Pratley does stay I think that's great news. He looked reborn under Lennon and we really missed him when he got injured.

It's amazing how well players start to play in the last 6 months or so of their contracts.

Pratley's form before injury was mainly in part due to actually being played in his best role, not rocket science really.

If he can stay fit & played in his best position, he could be a huge difference to next season's prospects.

Put me in the "great news" camp. Pratley is important to what it seems NL is looking to achieve - energy, drive and a physical presence allowing the creative players to do their thing. Pratleys engine is part of this.

based on the youtube vid of last seasons goals, it's good

But how good is he on football/champ manager?

We can't afford a £150K fullback from Aberdeen.

Ah, well.
