Camden Town.

Going to give this a day out on Saturday. only passed it on the way to my digs in Finsbury Pk 15 years ago on a bus, looks pretty decent for a pub crawl.

I love Camden Town and stayed there on business a few times..Mick, I'd recommend Barfly and Brewdog

Pub opposite The Roundhouse (Enterprise, I think); good late night music pub. Can't remember much about the beer, apart from drinking a lot

It's superb for drinking, plenty of pubs with decent bands on

Yep agree with previous comments. We went drinking there on all dayer for the spurs cup game. Was proving to be a belting day out till muamba collapse

Camden Town is very good I concur, loads of places to go.

Bang on is Camden Town, done it a few times before and after a few London games. Last time we were there though one of the pubs by the locks was asking for ID after 6pm so me and a couple of my mates (we are all over 50 years old ) just walked up and they would not let us in because we had no ID. There were an old couple behind us and they produced there bus passes and they were let in.

Mick will be ok then    :jump:

Great place. A bit hipster - but plenty of good pubs & bars. Get around the locks - loads of street food & bars. Best place in London if you get the weather.

Thanks for the info lads, well looking forward to it.

Agree with all that. I went round on the day we should have played Millwall just before Christmas as I'd already bought train tickets. Every pub had decent beer on apart from the big pub at the back of the station - 'worlds end' I think its called.

World End is a bit shit, it's just a tourist trap

I'll meet you by the underground.

We'll walk there as the sun goes down.

Good music often on in Dublin Castle

If you start seeing giant Converse boots coming out of the walls - you've had enough to drink!!!!

Bucks Head :good:

En route to London now for the weekend, staying near Regent Park so might sneak out to Camden for the football. Should have kept the beard.

They were not verifying your age, just identity

That way when it kicks off they have a record of everyone who was in the bar at the time

They are doing it more and more now, especially in the 'trouble' spots

I've found that a bank card can normally swing it if the rest of your group has ID

Used to love Camden Town, now I wouldn't go near the place.

My advice, head to Edinburgh Castle. Have a drink and then keep going. Buy a bottle of wine, some decent food and on a day like this sit out on top of Primrose Hill.

So you allow a door ape to act like Gestapo because they can't prevent boot offs in their shithole...I'd go somewhere else (or sit on the pavement outside with a Frosty Jack)...

NIC beat me to it, with a hoity toity version of my suggestion.

Trust me, I've done street drinking in Camden. I'm 37 now, far too old.

I also loved not only The World End but the indie club called underworld that was underneath it. It was like a shit, expensive Hawthorns.

And if you're in the mood, the English Folk, Dance and Song Society is just up the road, they do some cracking weekend workshops! Hey Nonny No.

The steps of Hawthorns, up which I've been thrown once or twice, are still there intact. JSL. Walked past tother week, it's hardly a surprise they've done f@ck all with the rest of the (flattened) site...

Having a swifty in the WWays London pub, Bree Louise.
