Rembrandt Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Must be a long time since we played a Burton team (Swifts, Town, other ?). Quote

L/H White Posted June 16, 2015 Author Posted June 16, 2015 Burton away would be more interesting. we'd have about 100 there if that Quote
davidjack Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Think you're wrong Ryan - new ground for everyone - we'd have taken loads. Quote
BWFC LAD Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Look where the premier relegated sides are going. QPR at Yeovil. Hull at Accrington and Burnley at Port Vale. - Reality bites. Quote
Durks of Langho Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Always good beer in Burton but it will be a midweek fixture so limited drinking!! Quote
MalcolmW Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Must be a long time since we played a Burton team (Swifts, Town, other ?). 18 March 1905 Burton United 0 Bolton Wanerers 1. (19 November 1904 Bolton Wanderers 7 Burton United 1) Bolton finished second of 18 teams in Division 2, behind Liverpool and ahead of ManUnited. Burton fished 17th (above Doncaster Rovers, who were not re-elected) and then 18th for the next 2 seasons when they failed to gain re-election and both Fulham and Oldham Athletic joined the league). Burton United was a merger of Burton Swifts and Burton Wanderers in 1901. Quote
passmosster Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Sorry it's not away, could have fitted in a brewery visit. Quote

Ratwhite Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Always good beer in Burton but it will be a midweek fixture so limited drinking!! Why? Do they only serve halves midweek?? Quote
Traf Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Wigan & Bury can sing their "We hate Bolton more than you" song. Quote
Alf Hartigan Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 took a couple of thousand to Crewe last year, would imagine we'd have taken that to Burton. only get 5 or 6000 at home though. Quote
captainmed Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Like others. Home - out. Away - in. Would have taken a reasonable following too as its a new ground for everyone. Quote
