Do You Love Eggs?

I just love Eggs! The ones that hens lay. My Mrs brings home around two dozen eggs a week from one of her client's that owns a brood of hens. (Think that's the correct term)? The hens all live outside (free range) and they are fed on proper food, their shells are pretty rock hard.

I just love scrambled & boiled eggs, love poached & fried too. Eggs are packed with healthy nutrition and Edwina Currie knows fook all!

How do you like your eggs?

Had the last two Eggs in the box this morning, with two slices of brown toast, loverly.

Also when I get taken out for the day on a Picnic, love the Egg Mayonnaise butties.

This thread has made me eat two poached eggs on toast both days this weekend. Lovely!

Poach fresh eggs in red wine. Mark my words.

I love an egg medley

One poached, one boiled, one fried

The Mrs has 6 chickens

One of them laid a double yolker the other day

Thought eggs were bad for cholesterol?

Are they deep yellow and do they hold together rather than spread out when cracked in the pan? If they are pale yellow and spread out they are not free range or fresh.

.

Your'e right about the colour, but the eggs off older hens spread far more than pullet eggs irrespective of being free range or not.

Give them plenty of sweet corn if you want good yellow yolks, beefs up the flavour too.

We have chickens and ducks in our garden and fresh eggs in the morning are delicious. I like them scrambled with smoked salmon from Aldi on wholemeal bread.

Sunday morning breakfast but on seeded bread.

Like Maggie's suggestion of poaching in wine.

Know a bloke here who despises eggs. A good lad as he is an Aussie White (blame me) but refers to eggs as "Chickens periods".

This same bloke happily eats sea cucumber and crispy pigs ears in China. Different strokes and all that.

That used to be the advice - avoid eggs and prawns. They are high in cholesterol but not the type which affects your blood result. That's usually from saturated fats.

I've had three scrambled eggs with some smoked salmon on seeded batch bread this morning! Lovely!

are eggs chicken's period?

Into poached at the minute, if i'm in work early, I bring a couple of boiled with me and have them on a couple of pieces of toast.

Poached at weekend though

Me like cream eggs....melting out of a juice *chubsters fanny.
