Me and some mates acquired a litre of Bells when we were kids, we divvied it up to sup it, they used neat Ribena as a mixer, I used diet coke, they both later passed out on the grass, not even waking when they both almost simultaneously began projectile vomiting vile purple shite everywhere, even now I can't muster the smell of Ribena...

It's a first stand, somebody has to start somewhere to stop the obesity in this country.

Amazing that sugar, fags and ale nowadays cause all the things that masturbating, blasphemy and fornication used to cause.

Why Ribena and Capri-Sun though? Seems a little odd to just single those two out.

Walk into any Supermarket in the country and you could pretty much fit everything that's good for you onto about 2 ailes.

Well that's the point isn't it. Nothing is bad for you in moderate amounts. Not even battery acid. Any old pillock can work this out by himself without the nanny state holding your hand. Stupid bastards.

Fat people will always find a way to be fat.

Tesco can go and fuck themselves, they advertise/keyword hijack f*cking everything under the sun and infer they stock it, and do they? Do they f*ck.

I wonder if they'll employ similar nanny knows best methods with booze? I reckon' they should stop selling single malt whisky as that's likely the stuff taking out the top tax contributors with liver disease, who cares about the odd kid getting type 2 diabetes? ('joke' - it's on the rise, and it's the parents who should be doin sommat, not supermarkets).

Exactly.

The only reason Tesco is doing this, is to try and paint a new picture of themselves as some hero store. This is because of all the stories that have been in the papers of them lately, ripping people off, the full gamut. So they get a spin doctor in. They serve themselves only.  They will try and con people now with adverts ` shop here and you wont get fat like in those other supermarkets`.

Hitler.

But nobody forces anybody to shop there or buy anything.

Do people really need to be told that eating lard for breakfast is bad or eating a few bits of fruit might make you a bit more healthy?

Or is most of the population just fucking thick?

If they'd picked on Vimto, Coca Cola or Pepsi, I might have thought they were well intentioned or genuinely had the bollocks they're pretending they have,

As it is, they've bizarrely picked on Ribena, which is the most cynical, self serving piece of publicity seeking bullshit I've seen in years.

Hitler was one of the most kindest and decent men ever to have lived*.

The Student Union did similar about ten years ago, they wanted to make a stand against Coke, specifically related to building plants that depleted the water table in parts of India etc. they took the option of making a 'stand' by banning the Coca-Cola Schweppes water brand of the time 'Darsani' - which they probably sold about four bottles a week of, rather than making a real stand and banning Coke.

I thought they just stopped selling lunch box sizes? As for example a Capri Sun has about 3kg of sugar in.

Maybe the parents?

Maybe the parents?

Indeed, but you can't blame them when some cunt sells dissolved sugar with a squirt of fruit then calls it healthy vitamin C drink.

If we go down this route, the fucktards are going to ruin everything for everyone...

People should have to pass a common sense test before they're allowed to leave school, let alone procreate.

Not most. But sadly the ones who give their kids this shite regularly probably are.

Sick of this stuff. Personal responsibility is the key. Not supermarkets making pointless and very silly gestures.

What a load of bollocks. Companies bend over backwards to advertise it's contents these days. If anyone thinks that parents who choose to give their children these drinks will stop cos Tesco is on a PR stunt then they are crazy.

I'd of started at energy drinks for over 16's if anything but perhaps there is too much profit in energy packs!

Hitler invented Fanta.

I bet Tesco still put loads of sweets next to the till so the kids mither their parents into buying them.
