Spider Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 The hit on Moore last night was brilliant. Quote
enzo gambaro Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Worried about the Jordy Nelson situation - how they didn't flag that I'll never know - a perfect example of targeting, the dirty bastardA flag wouldn't fix Jordy's ribs. Big worry, that one. Quote

bolty58 Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 That College Final was some game. Clemson coming back to win it with virtually the last play of the game. Alabama will be soul searching now with the late change to offensive co-ordinator. Quote
frank_spencer Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Stuart Holden is a clemson lad so they were my preference as well as being the underdog Quote
bolty58 Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Chargers leaving San Diego for LA! Predictable after all we have been hearing this season. One of the reasons I am a Packer fan is that all shares are owned by a myriad of inhabitants of Green Bay rather than one filthy rich owner who can move teams on a whim. The Packers can never move anywhere. Quote

One of the reasons I am a Packer fan is that all shares are owned by a myriad of inhabitants of Green Bay rather than one filthy rich owner who can move teams on a whim. The Packers can never move anywhere. Packers, steelers, bears, Cowboys and a couple of others would never move anyway. Just so linked in with the local culture. Quote

What we are talking here is what is possible. It would be impossible to move the Packers. You can't say that about the other three with 100% certainty. Admittedly very remote possibility but possibility all the same. Quote
jayjayoghani Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 I was in Cleveland in 1997, and got chatting to a local and he mentioned there were grown adults crying about the Browns moving to Baltimore. The Browns are a bit of an institution? Understand they moved back since Could this news about the Chargers be some brinksmanship? Half the NFL seem to use "moving to LA" as leverage. LA having no LFL until the Rams finally did so. Quote

It's a bit of a strange story the Cleveland one. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cleveland_Browns Quote
frank_spencer Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 The current Browns are the AFC Wimbledon to the Ravens MK Dons. Quote
frank_spencer Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 Good game in progress down in Hot-lanta. Ice storm forecast in missouri so Steelers wont play til silly o'clock monday morning. Quote
frank_spencer Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 The spell where Hester had his massive kick return nullified then the safety caused by the centre standing on Wilsons toes sunk the seagulls and they never recovered Quote

e2e4 Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 (edited) Chargers leaving San Diego for LA! the Oakland Raiders potentially moving to Las Vegas is a weird one. I thought they where after sharing with the 'L.A' Chargers, but that got knocked back. Bit weird. Did it need two teams to 'work' ? i think , in a way , having two could cause it to fail in 30 (or whatever length) years time. Edited January 15, 2017 by e2e4 Quote
gonzo Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 (edited) English presenters never feel right on this type of stuff. Doesn't help he's fucking shite either. And who's the bloke with the beard? His minder? Edited January 15, 2017 by gonzo Quote

frank_spencer Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 The female presenter is a weekly delightShe's far nicer to look at than Kevin Cadle but not as good a host. I like Neil Reynolds he knows his onions but plays the role of think brit not understanding the sport to allow the experts to do their explaining. I miss Cecil Martin and his squiffy eye being all over excited. Quote
bolty58 Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Thought the Pack was going to win in a canter at one point then a few get injured and it's fingernail stuff. Did not see that end coming at all - was sure we were in for OT and a Cowboys victory. All seemed to hinge on the Packer not taking a knee in the end zone and then getting stuffed at the one. The momentum seemed to switch around at that point. Well chuffed and Enzo must be really happy! Aaron Rodgers is a freak. I have seen some great QB's in the many years I have followed this game but no one comes close to this guy. How the fuck you complete pinpoint passes when you are airborne or unbalanced on only one foot I don't know. His elusiveness is unbelievable. Beat Atlanta (and that won't be easy) and I can't see anyone stopping the mighty Packers. Quote
enzo gambaro Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 I reckon I woke the neighbours up at one o clock this morning! Packers secondary went to shit in the second half, and I don't think I've seen Clay Matthews as ineffective as he was last night. Elliott was absolutely immense for the Cowboys and didn't deserve to finish on the losing side. First quarter penalties killed them in the end, though. I felt a bit sorry for Prescott but they ought to have managed more than a field goal on that last possession. Incredible finish to the game - Rodgers' throw out of pocket, Cook's balancing act against the sideline and Crosby's balls of steel for the kick. Ace. Quote
bolty58 Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Can't see Franks Sheila's stopping the Pats but it would be nice to have a GBP v PS showdown at the big dance from a WWays perspective. Clip the wings of the Falcons and Rodgers can show Brady what a great QB really is (assuming Big Ben gets bonged) . Quote
frank_spencer Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Can't rely on another 6 field goal performance to beat the pats, brady and his offense is too good for that. That said it doesn't matter how you do it as Al Davies said 'just win baby'. Pats beat a Landry Jones lead Steelers earlier in the season, hopefully Ben, Bell and Brown (suppose they should add boswell to the killer bees group now too) can get enough points to counter the inevitable cheating from the boston mob Quote
