I need to get involved with NFL again, but need to choose a team. Was always a Dan Marino Miami Dolphins shirt wearing kid, but need some advice.

Which team is it worth following? Thinking about going down to Wembley to watch a game - anyone done it? Any help welcomed. Could just stick with the Dolphins and get tickets off Stub Hub for their game against New York Jets the day after the QPR game.

Which are the Liverpool/Man Utd of the NFL world to avoid?

Running back is a prime position for a rugby back. Christian Scotland-Williamson (ex Worcester) is trying to make it as a tight end at the Steelers which I can see being a tricky change.

Not long now til the new season starts and there have been some interesting developments notably in offence with the recently no-hoper Browns looking like they've assembled the second best offence including Beckham Jnr - after the Chiefs who have given Mahomes even more to aim at.

Browns murdered the Redskins in PS 1 so it will be interesting to see if they build on that on Friday against the Colts.

Pats look like the usual machine. Should be an interesting season.

Redskins are diabolical this year for me so but a great barometer.

Agree if mahomes has improved this season even more  then they will be the afc team to beat for me. Even outshine my beloved pats although they shouldn’t be far away

nfc wide open although I have a feeling for  the Vikings as an outside bet to get to the super bowl. Also think the cowboys may do quite well. No logic just a gut feel

  • 2 weeks later...

looking forward to this kicking off next week

i think the winner comes from the nfc, saints, eagles or the vikings

Vikings or Patriots

Chiefs have been poor in pre season but should get close

Cant wait to see how the Browns get on.

Jets will win 4 games max

Hope you’re right, but the defence needs to shape up

Baker mayfield seems to have struggled a tad in pre season but to be expected I guess as a lot more pressure on him this year and a load of new players to gel with

Cheers R. I'll be watching.

Interested to see how the Aaron Rodgers/Matt LaFleur relationship develops, good or bad.

Obviously hoping for a fine season for the Packers and the Badgers.

Jets second favourites for AFC East, though bills have won all 4 pre season games

No point in backing them to win it so gone with patriots / bills top 2 at 7/4

Bills start against the jets

I’ve really no idea this season. Genuinely can’t see a stand out team. Pats will obviously be in the mix. Redskins will undoubtedly disappoint me as usual. Jets became my “second” team a while ago so will follow their progress with interest

Depends if the o line can give him the time he got at Pittsburgh. He's definitely got the talent but is a bellend.

Antonio Brown is another one who has turned into a fruitloop.

Hoping that without Gronk to destroy the Steelers defense as he always did the Black and Gold can pick up win next week.

Be interested to see if this starts a trend of rugby league and Union players giving NFL a go. Wade was considered too small to make it in Union where tackling required of a winger.

Wade hasn’t made the final roster.

Think he gets a free spot on the practice squad as an international player. So they can have 11 rather than 10.

I will go out on a limb, and predict that Miami will not be Superbowl champions in January.

I further predict they pick #1 in next years draft.

I further predict they will fuck that up too.

My mate is a Bucs fan and barring a fluke playoffs run is hoping for a 0-16 season so they can draft Tua Tagovailoa from Bama.

Tank for Tua is the Dolphins 2019 unofficial motto.

Not sure if Herbert isn't a better alternative though.

My mates been hoping for Tank for Tua for about 2yrs now. Sooner he leaves and stops beating the Bulldogs single handedly the better.

The colts could also repeat their Suck for Luck campaign of a few years ago.

Few decent QBs coming through next time round to be fair.

Herbert is not in the same league as Tua - Trevor Lawrence will be in next years draft though and he is special

A million per game.

It's not bad.

The cowboys have more money than God so if he gets injured they can afford to pay .
