Site Supporter superjohnmcginlay Posted October 12, 2015 Site Supporter Share Posted October 12, 2015 Very brave for the families to release the footage of the two lads just before they died. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-34510180
MancWanderer
Saw that earlier today. The end of the video is horrifying. Very brave of the parents. I'd love to think that it would have an effect but........????
e2e4
Must be edited, as the "Can You Here Me Now" happens about 3 seconds after it Totals, no bystander witnessing that would go up to it straight away. I'd doubt even ringing up th'ambulance.

bgoefc
Seem to have be re edited, no crash on the link now. Two boy racers killed a young girl around here two weeks ago, what i don't get is how they can afford the insurance premiums on these hot hatches at that age. Parents say they are the main driver. Little johnny just uses it to get to work and back on a Saturday morning.

Perhaps its time that young named "boy" drivers can only be named on some "put put" less than 1.2 litres.

But then do we make mummy and daddy more responsible?
Big E
True. But then do we make mummy and daddy more responsible? I would say so. You have a responsibility to prevent your kids from drug driving etc

You and I both know the actions of your 18 year old son is pretty much out of your control. I doubt these lads parents signed them up to their insurance knowig they were gonna go and get off ther pickles and drive. The driver didnt even have a licence. Yeah it is but I would hazard a guess people know. You owe it to people on the road to try and prevent stuff like this. Would you report a drunk driver. It's no different apart from you know them Edited October 13, 2015 by Big E
gonzo
The only good thing to come out of this is that it was just the pair of dicks driving that pegged it. Not sure how clamping down on youths insuring cars or fronting would help the situation unless you make the driving limit 21 or ban youths having passengers. These nobs will end up in a car no matter what. Edited October 13, 2015 by gonzo

Maggie Tate
Lethal things in the wrong hands, cars. Don't the stats show that oldsters are the most lethal drivers? Not that it makes any difference to the victims. The only way is proper prison sentences, or else you end up penalising people who don't deserve to be penalised.
