Administration is an absolute nonsense idea. Unless someone can explain who it would benefit?

The club made a statement on administration so that makes no sense.

I'm not sure that a few more words about commitment would disaffect a deal; especially if it kept the "customers" spending....

I agree can't see it at all - when you run multi million pound businesses you make public statements when u absolutely have to otherwise say nothing, what's the point

i blame the fickle fans, used to watch in the pub, premier days.

now just don't go.

if the stadium was anywhere near full ,with people paying a fair price, the whole thing would never have happened. =@

close the top tears

Administration?

ED pulling the plug on the debt he owes himself?

Sounds plausible

What we need is a united front to get out of this.

That has to come from the top.

We've been in a pickle before and got ourselves out of it by showing a seige mentality from every aspect of the club. We were going down under Megson, the club put free travel to Stoke and Boro and the season changed. We took thousands to boro and the whole team reacted to the support and that result was the catalyst for survival. That simple gesture was a message from the club that we were all in it together.

Nowadays I've never felt so distanced from the club. Even the ower and chairman don't want to know.

Now I'm not suggesting free travel, just a statement from the club to get the fans onside and let us know what the fuck is going on.

If we aren't united in this battle it's only going to end one way. We have all seen it before, once things turn sour it rarely ends well.

The fans showed at Preston we are still behind the club, but that won't last forever without something back in return. Even if they are lying just some fucker come out and tell us it's all going to be alright and stick with us.

The silence is deafening and is going to disengage the support to irreparable levels if left to carry on.

Thank you gonzo. Absolutely spot on

Do you really believe that the silence is a strategy or an informed decision? Sorry but everything points to it being a clueless Chairman floundering around and taking the easy option of keeping his head down. I say that because I do not truly believe either administration or a take over is imminent.

so, lets say tomorrow you get this statement you want

itll be just the same as it was a couple of years ago

we havent got a pot to piss in and we're up for sale

the club has to stand on its own two feet

when theres owt to tell you, you'll get told

then what?

Seconded

We all need each other here

But only the club can make it happen

Step up Mr Gartside....earn your fucking corn

I'd heard it was gold nuggets, not corn.

Neither our chairman or owner are clueless based on fact - u shoot from the hip which is admirable but it's full of emotion that's the difference. The admin or takeover may not be imminent but a statement will do nothing you're being very naive I'm afraid

No, no, you're right

The ongoing discontent and speculation is much better

i asked a question

im convinced nobody will like what they hear

its a toss up whether it would make things better or worse

It won't stop discontent

It will slow down speculation

The calls for some sort of communication are growing....it's what the people want

As Gonch says, the support population is disenfranchised

Oh and the answer is

We (Most of us) pull together and we create an environment of us (club and fans) versus the rest of the world

As difficult as our circumstances are

I can understand why people feel any kind of statement from the top would be beneficial but it would (as Cas says) be either a repetition of previous statements or a load of Gartsides bullshit.... his silence speaks much louder than his words ever have.

Our chairman is lying low there's obviously a reason for that & it's not that he squeamish about unpopularity because he's got the hide of a rhino .The club statement about that nonsense story in the Mail buys a bit of time & in the club's eyes constitutes a statement of sorts to the fans which of course it is not .I think something will happen in the near future on the ownership issue & that's not ITK or from the man in the pub It's just a gut feeling & possibly delusional (save the cynics on here a post or two)

You are very good at telling people what they think and how they will react.

I think improved communication can only help. There will be those who don't want to listen but I would like to hear if from Gartside himself or as ronnie says above people will just believe the worst. Which it looks like we are supposed to believe anyway so what's the point? Just seems like taking supporters for granted and will just lead to more sacking it off IMO

Be honest, they could give you an all day PowerPoint presentation with unlimited whores and bing and you'd still be moaning.

Well there is a lot to moan about at the moment. We can't all be as happy as you otherwise who would you compare yourself to?

Thing is Cassie there's plenty of fans out there that don't spend all day arguing the toss on platforms such as this honestly haven't a clue what's going on and if truth be told all of what we know is in large conjecture and rumour born from stuff on here/bloke down the pub.

There's stuff needs putting straight and only the chairman can do that. It's a football club not bohemian fucking grove.

There's only Lennon talking and although I'm not making excuses for him,he's a lamb to the slaughter at the minute.

If we are in a proper mess, tell us we are in a proper mess and that we need the fans on board, then it's back to the wall and we can fight it together.

Staying silent and watching the ship sink whilst we all we go down with it is criminal and a breach of due diligence from a chairperson of a football club. He's already on a hiding to nothing so he might as well tell us all what we do or don't want to hear.

This Moonshift investment company that Eddie is a director of, I know this company has loaned the club millions of money, so I presume this is where most of the £170 million is now owed? I wonder if all of the club's debt is now owed directly to Eddie? Or are there potentially any other investors that now want their money back? If so, that would be a worry. It's all very murky!

It's been reported that all the debt except the finance overdraft recently taken out by the club is owed to Eddie.

Id be chuffed with that little lot to be honest.

There's barely a club in this division that stands on his own two feet financially. Football clubs at this level don't make money.

Our owner has decided he doesn't want to play anymore. If he wanted to go for it, he could. He doesn't want to.

That's the reality of the situation and unless he has a change of heart or some other mug comes in to piss money away on a dream, we're sliding down the divisions boys and girls.
