mickbrown
There's barely a club in this division that stands on his own two feet financially. Football clubs at this level don't make money. Our owner has decided he doesn't want to play anymore. If he wanted to go for it, he could. He doesn't want to. That's the reality of the situation and unless he has a change of heart or some other mug comes in to piss money away on a dream, we're sliding down the divisions boys and girls. Farrelli
The only statement I need from the club is about a new owner. Everything else is self evident! If there is no investment in January I'm prepared for league 1 and beyond.

In my opinion he decided he didn't want to play anymore a good year before we got relegated.Perhaps even longer ago than that because when he appointed Coyle in that January window he didn't allow him to pay a big transfer fee.It was just Coyle's inspired loan signing of Wilshire that kept Megson's crap team up

It's like the masses waiting for Brian to speak in the Monty Python film. So, when it's clear from numerous media that the supporters want to hear from the club (irrespective of if the information is what we already think), the persistent lack of communication and response is a good thing is it? We all "think" we know what's going on, but we don't actually "know". If we did there wouldn't be endless speculation in places like this, in the media and last night's phone in for example. Folk are exasperated....communication is everything; even if it's spun. Some people need to get into the 21st century FFS

Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted November 10, 2015 Site Supporter Share Posted November 10, 2015 Wasn't around at the time but what would have happened if Churchill had not given some of his famous speeches? There's questioning of Lennon's man management, similarly a properly written and presented statement from the chairman could make quite a difference to the mentality of supporters. The content doesn't have to be all encompassing etc but just act as a rallying call.

There was a whole radio show about the lack of it last night. Even the BN and GMR know fuck all, nobody does. We all know a rough outline as to what's going on but that's it. My point is it wouldn't do any harm to keep to fans updated on the situation if only just o quell speculation and calm things down amongst the crowd on a match day. It's only 12 months ago folk were running on the pitch to confront the manager. Slightly before that there were demos outside the crowd shown all over the news. Do we really want all that happening again? Because unless the club come out and state what exactly is going on,folk will continue to pick up snippets and Chinese whispers and make there own judgements. That will only lead to trouble and a sour atmosphere which as I've stated is the point of no return as we've seen before. As the guy said last night out public relations department leaves a lot to be desired. PG IMO should do a full interview with iles or Durham. More chance of hell freezing over. I just don't know what people expect to hear. There is no buyer, we are not in admin, we have no money to spend but we have something for a loan of two. You have heard it a million times. Unlikely that more will come out anytime soon. You aren't going to get any inside info or potential talks with interested parties, even though that's what everyone wants. The board know, the ear wiggers within the club might know, but the rest of us will have to wait until there is something concrete to report. I don't like it, you don't like it, but that's the bottom line.

The issues off the pitch are well documented, no statement or interview is going to change that. If there wasn't the issues on the pitch we wouldn't even be discussing this. IMO, there is no reason for this squad to be in the relegation positions, start winning games & there's not a supporter out there that would give a shit about the finances. The players & management need a good hard look at themselves, they're underperforming & that's down to them, not the finances. Because we're in the relegation positions, supporters are looking to the finances to buy our way out of the problem, even if we did splash some cash (which we can't) there's no guarantee that x, y or z would improve our situation. It could just expedite our off field problems. Start winning games & they'll be a temporary stop to the moaning. Again, it's down to the players & management, they need to start pulling their fingers out, because to be quite frank, some of them just aren't performing well enough or to their best. The shithouses!

Youri McAnespie
Hereditary wealth accruement is bollocks anyway, even one of the richest men in the world, Harry Buffet or whatever reckons so - he's leaving his offspring fuck all, being of the opinion he earned his money, so should they. Go on Eddie Harry Buffet, you tell those grasping gets to bugger off and wipe out our debt and inject more cash into us loads of dollars into Bolton Wanderers instead.
