November 26, 201510 yr Edinburgh and York are the only two cities I would move to. They rank just under Htown
November 26, 201510 yr I like Edinburgh but York is great, helped by the fact its only an hour and a half to get there.
November 26, 201510 yr Second best city in the UK after Belfast. Lived right in the centre of Edinburgh for eight months and moved away on getting married, the bitch. One of those cities where you can't get bored, no matter what you do in your spare time. Though it obviously is not as good as Leigh.
November 26, 201510 yr Edinburgh and York are the only two cities I would move to. Thank god for that..when you moving?
November 26, 201510 yr I'll go against the tide here and say I've been there countless times and I've not warmed to the place. Much prefer Glasgow
November 26, 201510 yr I'll go against the tide here and say I've been there countless times and I've not warmed to the place. Much prefer Glasgow Had my first proper weekend in Glasgow last week. Stayed in the Millenium on St George's Sq. Had tea in Browns on the Friday which was superb. Hit the bars around the Xmas markets and argyl street on Saturday whilst the wives went shopping. Smashing pubs.
November 26, 201510 yr Great jazz bar Called The Jazz Bar From memory Much prefer The Rat Pack myself on Shandwick Place, home of the haggis bomb.
November 27, 201510 yr Thank god for that..when you moving? As soon as I find a house big enough for me and your family to move into

Hit the bars around the Xmas markets and argyl street on Saturday whilst the wives went shopping. Smashing pubs. Aye. Walked into one pub on Sauchiehall Street last time I was there and there was a full on brass band (think Brassed Off colliery type band) sat round the tables supping pints and knocking out tunes every now and again. Surreal
January 23, 201610 yr Going to Edinburgh in a couple of weeks. Can anyone recommend any dog friendly pubs/restaurants or days out? Dogs not allowed in the castle unfortunately.

January 25, 201610 yr The Brass Monkey opposite the Festival Theatre is a great pub if you like real ale and good rock/indie music! Our friends live in Stockbridge, so we spend a lot of time round there. Its a 5 minute bus ride from the town centre and has lots of great pubs and on a Sunday has a great food market, then you can clear your head with a stroll along Leith Walk. Really lovely - would recommend as a way to see a bit more of the city.
