Mounts Kipper Posted December 9, 2015 Author Posted December 9, 2015 (edited) Big day today lads.... I'm 90% convinced that the club are going to take administration route. Sad end to what in the main been a great 20 years. Edited December 9, 2015 by Mounts Kipper Quote

Spider Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Come on spider post some tittle tattle, could do with something to cling onto. It was actually from a very unexpected source Friend of mine works for a big finance payment processing outfit, not a football fan at all. He just told me they'd been asked to freeze a lot of transactions yesterday associated with the club. He suggested this usually, for other businesses, is a sign of very impending doom. I must point out here, that this is 100% rumour and utterly made up in case the mods don't like it.... Quote
itdiddidit? Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 My mate who was made redundant by the club so could be classed as a disgruntled ex said to me this morning that were admin bound. Birch has asked them to produce 10m and no one has. Admin and we'll get hopefully a decent buyer rather that than that scrote Collins anywhere near this great club. Quote

I'll check with our credit check company see what that shows. Quote
Spider Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Probably had credit line reduced to nil. I'll check with our credit check company see what that shows. They're not a creditor, they're the company that facilitate payments in the background. Result is the same, like My ill-informed guess would be admin. Quote

Casino Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 (edited) out of interest, how would you see administration playing out? lets not forget, we then lose all control over who buys it if we're already looking at holdsworths mob being the most likely, i dread to think of what sort of folk will be mauling us Edited December 9, 2015 by Casino Quote
itdiddidit? Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 We'll be on the pitch at Halifax before we know it Quote

Casino Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 potentially we do, aye just as potentially is the scenario above i think part of ourv problem is that we are too big as it is picking up a club with the running costs associated with a small club who rent their stadium and use a school to train is one thing granted wages are way over what they need to be, but general running costs will still be significant Quote

I can't see that ending well. We might get lucky, but I keep looking at Portsmouth FC and thinking that's what awaits. Quote
Plums Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 (edited) So for the sake of my ill informed admin knowledge, what happens to players contracts? Do they run on if a buyer is found after admin, or is the contract with previous owner? Case here of Darlington: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/9018563/Darlington-forced-to-make-players-and-staff-redundant-after-clubs-enter-administration-for-the-third-time.html Edited December 9, 2015 by Plums Quote
UTS Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Bury fan in peace, looks a shocking state of affairs, obviously we've been there a couple of times( you lot got Cunningham and Patterson for peanuts ) I don't wanna see any club go under, so hopefully it gets sorted some way or another. Quote

Therefore I feel we could be starting from scratch. Edited December 9, 2015 by Mounts Kipper Quote
birch-chorley Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Think they are allowed to leave and go wherever However that's all right for the few that will get a game elsewhere The ones who are looking at smaller deals elsewhere will tgen be added to the list or creditors who are owed the value of the rest of their contracts Quote
