That said, one analyst has just explained that the oil price is very low, and supply is outstripping demand, so in terms of actual product, there isn't much point in trying to "grab" it.

Obviously getting some of their lost revenue back is a different matter, as the years progress.

I also wonder if it is a statement to those who would wish America harm.

Undoubtedly an increase in influence the country by Russia, Iran and China.

That would be seen as a major concern in the higher echelons in the Whitehouse, and wmaybe this helps reduce any chance of a Cuban missile crisis situation. 

A very different approach too- quick, incisive and relatively painless for all involved.

If it leads to a more stable, wealthy country, then perhaps its a good thing.

What Trump supporters are saying, loudly and clearly, is that they would really like to live under an Oligarchy or a Dictatorship - despite everything that history has taught them about that. It really is a cult.

 

Funny seeing some of the posts on here and social media. Basically he’s done what America have been doing for decades and usually with us assisting them. This time it’s been done alone, millions haven’t died and there’s very little chance of retribution on our shores.
