He's not really achieved anything thus far, with regards to these tariffs yet though, except a bit of market turmoil. And he's ended up being bullied by China, and started to back down.

That’s a pretty low bar for an achievement.  Also (more than) a hint of pot, kettle & black with “cosy little arrangements” wrt market manipulation and insider dealing with his billionaire mates last week.

If he wants to achieve something he could belatedly actually try and do the right thing on this one, by supporting Ukraine and not appeasing Russia. I know this was supposed to be fixed on “day 1” but now would still be a good time as Putin’s atrocities continue.

He has now realised Eastern European politics are far more involved that his simplistic American isolationist outlook assumed. The US has come to the conclusion neither side wants peace and are probably thinking what the hell.

The Russians certainly don't want peace as they have started their spring offensive which involves kicking the Ukrainians out of Kursk which is probably part of today's attack.

The Ukrainians will not want peace all the time the EU are bigging them up and sending them armaments, they actually think they are fighting OUR war.

The US are happy to see the EU collapse inwards fighting an ultimately unwinnable war.
