I would imagine that people will be universally complimentary if he manages to achieve a lasting peace that doesn't sell Ukraine out in the process. I know I certainly will. 

I just can't see it happening - but I've been wrong plenty of times before. 

I think it's far more likely that Putin will agree to a ceasefire, hold on to most of the lands he's already taken, and then spend the time between now and when DT leaves at the end of his presidency to rebuild his armed forces ready for the next push. Putin is playing the long game. Trump is playing the personality game.

Aye, plenty, me included, will give him credit if he agrees a peace deal that doesn't completely fuck Ukraine over.

If a deal can be reached, it will only be one that fucks Ukraine over.

Trump will simply claim victory and demand his peace prize. 

I'd love to see the reaction if Spain took Gibraltar back and Trump sanctioned it. Because this is no different boys and girls.

Joking aside, Trumps behaviour to Zelensky previously was unbecoming of a president to another (understatement of the century) and his fawning over Putin is unedifying and unnecessary.
