According to BBC Sport they are 102 million in debt Lambert asking questions of the board sounds familiar.oh and Burnley make a 30 Million profit.

Blackburn will be going down the same route as us soon enough, there's no doubt about that.

Burnley making a £30M profit is incredibly impressive - especially as that was from a turnover of under £80M

Well done Burnley - unfortunately in football you can use up 30mill with another 6 months in the wrong league not a dog at them they'll go up and bank a shotload more credit just the farce that is football

Shame it's happening to late at Blackburn to be dragging them down with us.

Do the Blackburn fans still hate The Venkys, or are they OK with them now? - I've lost where they are with it all.

I can see Villa being in the shit in a year or two if they don't go straight back up as well. I'm also hoping/expecting QPR to be massively in the shit shortly as well

Without venkys they'd probably have hit the rocks sooner, though

Not read the article but I'm guessing the debt is mostly to venkys

They'd better hope their owners are as big a set of cunts as Eddie

Probably another £8-10 million due from Danny Ings when the tribunal sets a fee too, which makes it even more impressive..........the cunts

I've had Roverrrsss fans taking the piss - as long as we're not selling car parks to stay in business I'm happy etc.

Well bollocks to them, they will be selling everything to keep afloat when venkys have had enough in the next year or 2. I also hope Boro stay down too because them going up could be worth another £2m in the Rhodes deal

let's say Barton is on 20k a week. Which is just over £1m a year basic.

Which is 1/80 of the turnover. Gone on one single player. And they still made £30m profit?

Heaton, Matty Taylor, Jones and vokes must be on some cheap wages then...

Burnley might sort out that hovel of a ground with another 3 promotions.

According to the lads at work they have no intention of tarting the ground up which I find hard to believe. Take the money and run, they are sorted for years.

That's what I don't get

How much did they pay for Gray - £6m

We were saying "how are we supposed to compete if they buy a striker for that?"

Yet then we laud them for running at a profit from a modest turnover

They on big parachute payments? I can't remember

However, it cannot be sustainable.

It if it is, we fucked yo even more spectacularly than we thought

They think their manager is going to walk.

lambert wants them to spend big in the summer to have a crack at promotion, should be interesting when he meets the venkys to discuss that one. They have probably the cheapest tickets around but their crowds are shit don't be fooled by Saturdays attendance against Preston, the nob enders have sold 7000 tickets!!!

I would like Burnley's striker scout - they've sold on some good ones at a good profit over the years. Compare our transfer policy to theirs and it's no surprise they are in the black.

With Blackburn, they are in a far worse position than we ever were. Their debt is to a bunch of Indians, ours to a fan that had always said it would be written off. When the venkys walk away, they will want their money back. I work in blackburn and the majority of rovers fans didn't want us to get relegated, never mind go bankrupt. They see the value of playing local teams and respect the tradition of football in the north west. Whilst I want to beat them every time we play, I wouldn't want to see them go bust. Same with Preston, burnley or Blackpool.

Wigan on the other hand...

You mean Eddie and Phil fucked up.

Venkys not bailed yet, unlike Eddie. So much for local owners. Edited by Mounts Kipper

Training ground at Padiham being done up; just a collection of portacabins at the minute.

They certainly seem to have the rosiest future of the Lancashire clubs, but we all know that can change.

It's from their Premier League season, so they had a full year of top flight income while spending the best part of fuck all on coming straight back down again. Gray's transfer fee and Barton's wages don't come into it. That said, you'd have to think the money for Ings and Trippier would more than cover both.

Ings will have moved again before any money changes hands at this rate.

I forgot he was at LIverpool, is he injured.....or just been bombed out because he's shit (like Boggers has been)

That training ground at gawthorpe is on national trust land and the cost to alter or improve is astronomical, that much so they have been looking at alternatives.

When you compare it to lostock, it's tiny.
