Chaperone for my dad last night as he wanted to go see Green Day in Sheffield.

Rancid as support was a brucey bonus.

Wasn't really looking forward to GD as I've not heard much of the new stuff.

They were on for 2 and a half hours and we're amazing

On Thursday 13th July, Hull Truck hosts a show with New York sax titan Donny McCaslin and his quartet, the band behind the music on David Bowie's final album, Blackstar. Blending influences from jazz, electronica and the rock music he listened to growing up, McCaslin's the new face of jazz fusion.

Looks interesting. Just happen to be in Hull that night.

Arcade Fire were outstanding at Castlefield Bowl last night. I fucking love em.

Smiley on stage at the end of James performance last night? Castlefield Bowl. Great venue.

Me, Tim & the boys. Had to be done!

Got tickets for Blink 182, Frank Turner and the terribly named Front Bottoms at castlefield on Friday.

Hope the weather is nice should be a belting evening if it is

Anyone got a ticket to Ride at the Ritz tomorrow?

(See what I did there?)

Didn't manage to go. New album is immense. I would imagine old and new fans will like it.

RIDE - Weather Diaries.

Check it out. Makes you realise that Andy Bell was wasting his time with the Gallagher's for far too many years.

Ride were excellent in Bennicasim last week, very impressed.

Also saw LG, who sounded great and the new material fitted into the set nicely, plus Dinosaur Jr, Stormzy (who I don't get at all), Biffy Clyro, Courteeners and The Sherlocks (who were brilliant).

As big of a Gallagher fan as I am, the top 2 bands were the Chili Peppers and Kasabian- bloody amazing live both of them! And incredible set lists!

Festwich anyone? Admittedly, I am not overly impressed with the line up this year... looking forward to Slipnowt

No, I'm waiting for Sweep to announce the line-up for Fistwhich first.

Dear Lord

Driving to 5-a-side last night and had XS radio on. Decided its a far better listen than XFM. Less waffle, more songs. Plus its not just indie and pop-indie. Lots of rock, old and new. Anyway, Comfortably Numb came on and I thought to myself, its about time I made the effort to listen to some Pink Floyd.

Starting with the best of - "A Foot in the Door". And after that, open to suggestions.

Oh, and just downloaded the new Royal Blood album. I shall return with a verdict.

Both Charlatans & Ride albums are on constant loop at present.

And finally, the new Linkin' Park album, can't help but feel like I'm listening to an open suicide note.

Tickets booked for Seether at the Ritz and also Tom Clarke from The Enemy playing 'we'll live and die in these towns' for its 10 year anniversary. Went to try an get Liam Fray tickets too but couldn't get hold of any.

Need to buy The Sherlocks, The Twang and Happy Mondays tickets too.

Also tempted to go and see WWE wrestler Chris Jericho's band Fozzy for a second time, some decent stuff.

I saw one of Fozzy's first uk dates it was at Donnington Festival on the 2nd stage.

The tent was rammed before they came on the whole place chanting 'Y2J, Y2J!' (A chant from his wrestling days) the atmosphere was amazing.

They walked on stage and the place went menkul

They started playing and people realised they were a bit shit and wondered off for a beer or to another stage.

Dunno if they've got any better

Glad I didn't bother with the new Hope & Glory festival in Liverpool. Great line up but an absolute farce. Hundreds with tickets locked out for hours, safety fears and bands having to cut sets

Hope & Glory that bad that today has been pulled!

Maybe you could be if you only knew how.

At the bottom of most pages is an orange "DONATE" button. Hit that with your cursor and donate a fiver or so (No upper limit) to help Happy wanderer to keep the site going. You get very little for it that you don't already get as a non-contributer except the knowledge that you're helping in your small way.

Oh, and your balls under your aviator turn blue instead of red. That alone has got to be worth a fiver!
