Does it rival Kin getting shots of the Aviva stadium in for no apparent reason?

No, because Belfast is a long way from the Aviva?

Did we ever get a review of Blue Lights, a Northern Ireland cop drama?

Me and MrsD are one and a half series in. It isn’t often she is interested enough to do back to back episodes all night.

This is what we've just been discussing.

My opinion is that it's a bit tame, almost soap opera-ish.
Could easily have been a bit grittier.

Pales alongside Kin or Love Hate.

Very enjoyable but yeah a bit tame is a good description

Tried to watch it , just boring.

The problem Carr has is that Gervais is better at it than him. I struggle with a full Gervais show as although he is funny he is also an annoying twat. Earlier Carr shows were funnier IMO.

They both seem to think they have to say 'the woke lot won't like this' despite that being obvious. Just gives the impression they are more bothered about being anti-woke than just being funny.

I got through about 20 minutes and switched off. Rape/paedophilia/disability. And repeat……

I think it is just different to say Kin, not really trying to be 'gritty' but the characters IMO have a bit more depth. I am really enjoying it, Mrs loves it and there ain't much we agree on 😁

What genre?

Aye. Stalker.

The acting is fckin brilliant, and the story has some great twists and turns.

It’s also very very dark.

Ticks all the boxes

Binge watched Baby Reindeer last night. Pretty weird, but entertaining enough. It did get quite dark from the midway point. 7/10.

Just halfway through - nuts it's a true story, Olivier Award winner as well.

British creative sector - we are just very good at this sort of stuff.

Just finished band of brothers….again. Got to be one of the best series ever made. Brilliant from start to finish.

Got the box set ages ago.

When my dad passed away, my mum gave me his box set!

Didn't have the heart to say I'd already got it!
