kent_white Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 I bet the bloke in the crowd who blew the whistle in the lead up to our second goal wasn't a popular guy. You can see a couple of their defenders switch off when they think the ref has blown. Particularly the gut on the edge of the box. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 fcuk me Still human. Some insight revealed by ex footballers books. Players do have opinions about colleagues etc just as fans do. As much as they are supposed to be professional, they can still be affected by what they see. Quote

Walkden White Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Ameobi no need at all to be diving in making a challenge on the half way line. It all stems from there. Quote
Casino Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Ameobi no need at all to be diving in making a challenge on the half way line. Zico Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 don't think it's been mentioned on here, but PP didn't like the Coventry fans blowing whistles, even the ref had to have a word with the captains http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wanderers/14998514.Wanderers_boss_Parkinson_slams__idiotic__Coventry_City_fans_for_whistle_antics/ Quote

SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 I just judge full backs on their defensive work ( anything going forward is a bonus ) & this season Taylor has been a great defensive success for us, but today i thought he went missing a couple of times & missed a couple of tackles.......just a bit below his usual high standard, but i'm sure it was a one off maybe affected by the whole team having an off day. He was at fault for the first goal. Beevers had to cover full back (and got beat in the air when he shouldn't have) which left the guy who scored the goal open in the middle. You can see it on Wheater's face in the highlights too, that "where were you?" look. But, as you said, he's been solid this season so he gets a pass for the odd mistake. Quote
Eavesy Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 When was the last time an opponents fans loudly and clearly boooed one of their own players or cheered when they got subbed off. (When playing against us) Seriously can't think of any over the last 10 years. This excludes managers, Steve kean for example. Quote
MickyD Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 He isn't the first booed off by Bolton fans. Rochdale was another game we should have won but one or two played like we were already 4-0 up. Rochdale was also a game where the person whose number came up on the board was jeered all the way off.I am not a fan of booing our own players but I'm also not a fan of our players not pulling their tripe out for the club. tomski Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 (edited) Back to our fans are morons again are we? We travelled well down to Coventry. Yes might be some goons in that but this belief we are the worst is simply bollocks. We are not even close Edited January 3, 2017 by tomski Quote
captainmed Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 There was a collective moan of disbelief in Spoons when Trotters name was seen on our twitter feed. Lazy and talentless. Needs to go and quickly. No way back for him. Quote

embankment Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Trotter , enough has been said. As for the day out, it was grand. Early train from Wigan. Met up with The Shark in the Spon Gate. For once a very enjoyable spoons breaky. Headed for The Old Windmill only to find it shut, que Embankment getting dogs abuse. Onto the Town Crier. Bit of a plastic boozer but a decent pint. Overall experience ruined by two wino's having a crafty shite in the bogs .Well actually on the flaming floor. For once even Back Up North was stunned into silence.( For all of 37 seconds ). Onto The Town Wall Tavern, an absolute beltin boozer. Carriages summond and we headed to the ground. Called in the Casino, shit ale nice bogs. Into the ground , not the worst I've seen .But not impressed. A bit like Deriks performance. 2-2 , Win home draw away and we won't be far adrift. Taxi to The Old Windmill and what a good pub, best ale of the day and a sharing platter of pork pie . Plus proper fires. On to the station and train back to Wigan. Quote
