We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

That's the spirit.

You do realise we're in Div.3 don't you ?

And the rest I’ve read about 5 clubs sniffing around

I bet he's buzzing, Dale to Bolton.... what player wouldn't.

Hopefully; it's whether sheehan would be Evatt's first choice, assuming he gets back.

Anyway, he may not be coming here.

Nor will we make money on him but we will save money

Sharon with her Bolton fan bobble hat (£19.99) putting  the players welfare and that of his family first ?

Or business woman Sharon saving money ?

I'd like to think it's a bit of both. Whether it's anything to do with Sarcegate or not.

IE told us he had 3 bids in fro players 1 was  Charles ,Morley might be 1of the others but he also stated that if Doyle was to leave he would look to bring in another striker.

Can we sing “he’s one of our own” then

Fee seems a bit low

That clown had thomasson going to stockport on a free this summer

Id take it with a pinch of salt

An account with 3 tweets, clearly reliable. Ffs.

I have an inkling its the loons that sing tweets what he wants

That amount doesn't mean anything.

That would be good money atm.

£220k?

It would be. Given it says Bristol City though, and their financial woes, it seems highly unlikely.

It bloody wouldn't.

Read it as £2.2m at first glance 😊

Bristol City owner worth about 3 Billion ?

Irrelevant. Did you read the link that was posted on here?

FFP will be all over them, if the figures are accurate.

Just now, Mr Grey said:

Aye, also wrote off 14m in summer.

Apart from FFP, they aren't in danger of going bust.

Perhaps not, but they're not going to be able to keep spending on players. That's the point of ffp.

Whether it gets applied correctly in certain circumstances, is a different matter.

24 minutes ago, Mr Grey said:

FFP hasn't stopped clubs spending on players in the past, and I doubt it will in the future, Wolves, QPR, Derby, Sheff Wed, Forest etc...

It doesn't stop anyone actually spending money per se does it?

Never has and never will.

It's purely in line with losses and financial management.

Can spend all the money they want, so long as they get plenty back.

We are on the same page then.

Not at all.

You said above ffp hasn't stopped clubs spending. Well it has, as they aren't or werent getting enough back in.

Twelve points off and relegation for Sheffield Wednesday because they lost control.

Perfect example.

Bristol City fans now asking just how much they can spend on their forums.

Post covid, with gate income down, income is even more down and will be affecting lots of club's spending ability.
