Shivnarine Chanderpaul and South African international wicketkeeper Dane Vilas.

 

Also looking to sign a big name for the T20.

Nathan Lyon. Good cricketer, but I don’t like him.

Global warming and the seeming desire for flatter pitches- get in an experienced spinner.

So long as he does well we can "forgive his trespasses".

 

On paper it looks a good bit of recruitment. A positive signing although coming back from a big injury. Cant argue with his record but I'll need convincing by him and his attitude.

Dale Benkenstien appointed new coach yesterday.
Looking at his record last season with Gloucester doesn't set your heart racing, I suppose you can only work with the players you have available at the time tho. He will be working with a better squad of players this year.

In all seriousness, I find it ridiculous. 

Why not have some one day jobs pencilled in, with a spare day to be flexible?

At the worst time of the season for weather, we lose a whole game in the long format. 

Where is the practice and improvement for helping the test side?

No chance of spare days, the calendar is chocker as it is. They could have had a spare week and they still wouldn’t have had four innings.

Piss take that it took until 2pm to call it off. In reality they could have looked at the forecast and packed Surrey off home last night and saved a fortune in costs for today. 

Season shouldn't be starting before end of April at the earliest.  Lancs will have played 3 Championship games by then this year!

It is chocker, but there is the opportunity of spare days.

Just wasted 4, which could have been used for a couple of one dayers, or at least one. 

They just want to cram the short form into the summer evenings. 

Just mix it up, and stop pissing about with the longer form.

Without the County game, there is no country team.

OK the best get cherry picked and given central contracts, but they start a club and County level.

If they're not getting games because of bad weather, then it's a bit shit. 

Of course the short form brings in money, but there is no need for three forms of it.
