And heads the averages as well (aside of a few who have played hardly any innings) Hmm, possibly someone who doesn't/didn't play for Lancashire then? Quote
globaldiver Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 Nathan Lyon. Good cricketer, but I don’t like him. Quote
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted November 30, 2023 Site Supporter Posted November 30, 2023 Global warming and the seeming desire for flatter pitches- get in an experienced spinner. So long as he does well we can "forgive his trespasses". Quote
Piemon Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 On paper it looks a good bit of recruitment. A positive signing although coming back from a big injury. Cant argue with his record but I'll need convincing by him and his attitude. Welcome to Lancashire. Prove me wrong 'Garry' . Quote
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted November 30, 2023 Site Supporter Posted November 30, 2023 Hopefully it will benefit our younger spinners too. Quote

Just hope that the large area of Antarctica that has and is melting, won't mean it is underwater in a few years' time. Quote
Piemon Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 Dale Benkenstien appointed new coach yesterday. Looking at his record last season with Gloucester doesn't set your heart racing, I suppose you can only work with the players you have available at the time tho. He will be working with a better squad of players this year. Good luck Dale Quote
Piemon Posted January 30, 2024 Posted January 30, 2024 Tickets on sale for the T20 Roses game today to the general public for anyone interested Quote

Piemon Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 George Balderson signed a new contract today with Lancs for another 3 years. Going places this lad. It wont be long until England are sniffing around him as an all rounder Quote

BobyBrno Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 I know it’s not new news but it feels like when Willie Morgan joined us. Maybe it’s just me. 😊 Welcome Garry. Summer starts tomorrow 👍 Quote

Piemon Posted April 6, 2024 Posted April 6, 2024 Not seen much of today as I was at Bristol. Got off to a start and then a worrying collapse. Hopefully our spinner does as much damage as theirs did today. Quote
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted April 8, 2024 Site Supporter Posted April 8, 2024 Just looking through scores- doubtful any match will see a win, and some won't see second innings. What a waste. Quote
Piemon Posted April 8, 2024 Posted April 8, 2024 Match abandoned now. 8 points. Not many teams will come away with a draw Vs Surrey this season Quote

At the worst time of the season for weather, we lose a whole game in the long format. Where is the practice and improvement for helping the test side? Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted April 8, 2024 Posted April 8, 2024 No chance of spare days, the calendar is chocker as it is. They could have had a spare week and they still wouldn’t have had four innings. Piss take that it took until 2pm to call it off. In reality they could have looked at the forecast and packed Surrey off home last night and saved a fortune in costs for today. Quote
Piemon Posted April 9, 2024 Posted April 9, 2024 Season shouldn't be starting before end of April at the earliest. Lancs will have played 3 Championship games by then this year! Blame the 100 innit for stealing August Quote

Just wasted 4, which could have been used for a couple of one dayers, or at least one. They just want to cram the short form into the summer evenings. Just mix it up, and stop pissing about with the longer form. Don't need both T20 and 100 neither. Quote
Moderators Casino Posted April 9, 2024 Moderators Posted April 9, 2024 they need the income that short form brings pointless losing them to the weather in april and lets stop kidding ourself the CC is owt more than the cricket equivalent of footballs league one its a proper crock of shit played in front of 3 mean and a dog it doesnt attract the best overseas chaps any more and anybody anywhere near england wont be getting their hands dirty on a regular basis Quote

OK the best get cherry picked and given central contracts, but they start a club and County level. If they're not getting games because of bad weather, then it's a bit shit. Of course the short form brings in money, but there is no need for three forms of it. Quote
BobyBrno Posted April 12, 2024 Posted April 12, 2024 Lancs. Getting their monies worth out of ‘Garry’ today. 😊 Quote
