Mate of mine is there says a bomb just went off

I heard the interview with this woman earlier on my way into work. She sounded like a right entitled little twat. If she'd have approached it with a little more humility then she might have even garnered some sympathy.

Recommended listening: the 10 part BBC Radio 4 series Fatwa. It has been on at 1.45 weekday afternoons this week (and next?).

Yes - I believe there is no religious hierarchy in Islam.

It's not like Catholicism for example where you have Deacons, Priests, Bishops, Archbishops, Cardinals and the Pope in ascending order of rank.

You might get popular Imams - but there's no such thing as a 'high ranking' Imam. There's also a 'Grand Imam' - but that's an Egyptian thing.

Id love to ditch brexit and I support all those in parliament who are trying. The point is that the leave campaign told massive whoppers to get gullible people to vote for them.

You said there isn’t a hierarchy in Islam.......clearly a Grand Imam is higher up than a bog standard Imam ?

A Grand Imam is higher up than an ordinary Imam,hence the word GRAND.

I never said there was a top man in Islam, but some are certainly higher up than others, though it does go unofficially against what they say.

Nor did I say it had anything to do with condemning that stupid woman.

Pleased to see that the vast majority on here - even the fawning sympathisers of that 'faith', are against this revolting specimen being allowed back into the UK.
