Because it's a nonsense question, that in order to answer properly requires a long winded answer, designed to score points that usually has nothing to do with the subject being discussed.

Labour type: The country is fucked thanks to your party.

Tory bod: huh huh what's a woman?

Distraction tactics at their worst. Trans people exist and pointless twattery in parliament isn't going to make them go away.

And his failure to answer a simple question will ensure it comes up again and again to score some easy points.

All of us on here can answer what a man or a woman is. He can’t.

There's a time and a place

Similarly, depending upon which site you visit, spending on the NHS has gone from around £40+ billion in 2008, to well over £160bn last year. Some sites say more on both.

Population increased by around 10% in the same period.

Of course, the issues will be labelled as a lack of funding, as ever, but they don't reflect reality.

Somewhere, there is simply a massive mis management of funding.

Lots of graphs for the class showing various issues

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-50290033

100,000 NHS vacancies which are likely filled with agency staff at higher rates before the markup to agency.

The question is designed to trip the answerer up.

Someone who chooses to live as a particular gender is that gender in my eyes.

There are people high up in the labour party who don't believe that idea. Much like many topics Starmer will never give a straight answer and if he did would probably say something different the following week.

As the 2nd most powerful man in the country after Charlie Boy the Prime Minister has to be careful with his words. This cheap attempt at point scoring is bollocks at the best of times but with Brianna's mum as a guest it's fucking dumb

The reason is pretty clear and Sunak should have had the nous to steer clear given only a couple of minutes earlier he expressed his condolences to Esther Ghey because he knew she was in attendance.

If you had a male relative who turned out to be transgender and lived their entire waking life as a girl/woman, would you insist on calling them by their male name and referring to them as 'he' in front of them?

Did he win a grand on it?

Just ask me the question which KS keeps refusing to answer.

Like I said, time and place

If you want to keep banging on about when it was asked, then fair enough

But surely you can't deny it was bad timing by Sunak

Though suspect you won't

It is PMQs FFS. Politics used to be above this shite before that dickhead Johnson got in.

And it’s not the first time it’s been asked, he’s also been asked on the radio and on TV. It’s a question that is taught in year 5 biology. Why can’t he answer it?

The fact you're refusing to answer a slightly more nuanced version of it proves what an obviously loaded question it is, on a complex issue that isn't satisfied by reciting a dictionary definition.

Except it's not about biology.

Why didn’t he answer when it was good timing?

Because he's a slimy prick who doesn't ever give a straight answer on anything.

Doesn't mean Sunak isn't a dickhead for his gambit today.

Why is the question in any way shape or form relative to him running the country?

It's yer culture wars innit - easy distraction from the real business of running the country.

Well it’s one that keeps being asked. Maybe you’d want someone to run a country that knows the  difference between a man and a woman. Just a guess like.

To be fair, it's relevant to issues relating to the protection of single sex spaces, sporting integrity and fairness, the recording of crime statistics, child welfare, safeguarding issues, free speech, objective truth, etc.

It's a valid issue in its own right and deserves scrutiny, even if it might be used cynically by others

Sunak is a piece of shit trying to appeal to other pieces of shit. Not shocked or surprised it's just the Tories personified for the past 5 years. They'll be flushed down the bog soon enough hopefully to never be seen in this guise again.

Cheese. What is a woman/man

A woman is usually defined as as a female adult human, and a man is usually defined as a male adult human, but a tiny minority of female adult humans live their lives as men, and a tiny minority of male adult humans live their lives as women, in terms of their gender (ie. the clothes they wear, their identity etc.). A small minority of this minority even go so far as undergoing surgical procedures so their body more closely reflects their gender.

Your turn.

If you had a relative who was a transgender girl/woman, would you insist on calling them by their male name, and referring to them as "he" in front of them?

It's going to be interesting if they don't win - like Labour had there will be an almighty battle for the soul of the party.
