A woman is usually defined as as a female adult human, and a man is usually defined as a male adult human, but a tiny minority of female adult humans live their lives as men, and a tiny minority of male adult humans live their lives as women, in terms of their gender (ie. the clothes they wear, their identity etc.). A small minority of this minority even go so far as undergoing surgical procedures so their body more closely reflects their gender.

Your turn.

If you had a relative who was a transgender girl/woman, would you insist on calling them by their male name, and referring to them as "he" in front of them?

So if they wanted to go to America and fill in an ESTA form how would that work? Theres only 2 options

Ive got one and I call him George. He prefers Lisa.

See this is what always baffles me, overall its such a side issue, politicians spend more time on this than say women's refuges or systematic poverty.

It's almost as though they'd rather the national debate wasn't about those sorts of issue.

Thinly veiled I've just been on holiday to the States.

And it’s not the first time it’s been asked, he’s also been asked on the radio and on TV. It’s a question that is taught in year 5 biology. Why can’t he answer it?

Why does he keep bringing it up? Like it actually fucking matters to me, you or any fucker else what Kier Starmer thinks on this subject considering the real issues of the country.

Sunak raises it to the glee of his base, that is all. But to raise it when he knew the mother of a transgender girl who was murdered was watching from the public gallery? That's OK?

You tick whichever one is in your passport.

No doubt Lisa laughs along begrudgingly, but thinks you're a cunt.

The accepting trans women as legally female - there is no legal definition of women - have wide ranging consequences

It's a relevant issue in my opinion

Brianna father just made a statement

"For the PM of our country to come out with degrading comments like he did, regardless of them being in relation to discussions in parliament, they are absolutely dehumanising.

"Identities of people should not be used in that manner, and I personally feel shocked by his comments and feel he should apologise for his remarks."

Regardless of political affliation, Sunaks just not very good at this politics thing.

Of course and requires considerate intelligent discussion to real issues. Something lacking in PMQ's and on this forum at present. I would however expect better of the PM.

Because of its wide ranging implications

And, for the Tories, also because I suspect they realise Starmer's trying to ride two horses at once

It does and it's not unimportant but also, context does matter. It wasn't a statement to try and open up a sensible debate on this topic, it was a pre-written jibe that landed badly.

That's the issue, not that there shouldn't be a proper discussion about this or that it's being shut down.

Sure, but you've both claimed in this thread that it's a non-issue/side issue

It's actually a very important one, and that doesn't change if oothers use it cynically

Culture wars, culture wars. It's all the useless corrupt cunts have left

Trans/identity issues. Something that next to no fucker really gives a fuck about, understands or will impact their lives one bit

Next election will probably be all Rwanda and trannies for these clowns
