I don't think there's any doubt they're worth listening to, they're the country's leading gay/trans rights charities

That the legal definition of sex should remain inclusive of those who hold a GRC i.e. a male who lives as a trans woman and has obtained a GRC should legally be considered female

What's a GRC, and how does it affect you?

A Gender Recognition Certificate

I'm not sure why how it affects me personally is relevant; none of us are limited to caring only about things that directly affect us

Never heard of it. Maybe I've missed something. Why are you concerned about this certificate?

In theory, in and of itself, it's not concerning

But in practice, because of the impact it has on the undermining of same (biological) sex rights and spaces, whether they are toilets, hospital wards, rape crisis centres, female sport, female prisons, etc.

Regardless, I was responding to your claim that no one worth listening to is denying biological reality, which is just not the case

I highly doubt anyone intending to infiltrate female-only spaces for nefarious reasons would go through the lengthy and complicated process of applying for and obtaining a certificate, before they commited whatever crime they intended to commit. Do you not realise how mad that sounds?

Which biology-denying organisations are worth listening to?

That's not the argument, though

Trans women are male (at least, as long as you believe sex is immutable) and 98% of sexual assaults are committed by males against females

In any group of males, whether they're politicians, footballers, men over the age of 40, priests, trans women - a significant number will be abusers

But it isn't simply about sexual predators, I think women should have the right to have intimate care provided - for example, in hospital or in a care home - by a biological female if they so wish

There's also the question of rape crisis centres, where many of the women residing there have an outright fear of males of any kind - that fear might be irrational but then trauma often is, and I think they should have the right to an all female environment if it's necessary to their recovery

None of the above is an indictment on any trans individual, nor is it claiming that all trans women are sexual predators, but they're by default members of the oppressor class

Your second question has already been answered

So you think Rape Crisis Centres are being infiltrated by men pretending to be women who've been raped, and the staff either don't realise, or are unable to stop them because they've got a Certificate?

At least you admit it was the wrong box to tick. That's a big leap forward for you well done.

😁

Those beads are over massaging your cranium pal. Fuck the EU. May it implode as soon as possible.

Is that plain enough for you?

I haven't at all - I've repeatedly stated it has been used cynically

All I've claimed is that - irrespective of Sunak - it is a valid and important issue in its own right, which it is

They are just trying to get you to retreat or shut down mate. It's what they do.

And it’s not the first time it’s been asked, he’s also been asked on the radio and on TV. It’s a question that is taught in year 5 biology. Why can’t he answer it?

Why should he answer it? Why does it matter? Why do you care?
