to be fair, that sort of statement can be attributed to pretty much any politician.

I know some love to try and twist the fact that Starmer is now rowing back on what he said to get elected. He clearly can't be trusted, so no way should he get into power. This country needs strong and stable leadership, that doesn't self serve and tell lies..........

The change he's made to the Labour Party in a very short space of time is remarkable. I didn't think Labour would be an electable proposition until at least 2028/9.

Yes political parties are broad churches but if you let the extreme positions drive the car you get chaos - like Labour under Corybn, like the Conservatives under Johnson, Truss and Sunak.

Problem is a lot of how MPs operate is probably based around unwritten rules, doing the decent thing etc 

Her and Johnson have realised this and push the boundaries, saying they haven't done anything wrong
