As i said in my post, Mr 63 has all the time he needs to be the guy he wants to.

Thats all I said.

Mr 63 has the courage to speak his mind, I might find  some of his views objectionable, but he put his todger on the block and didn't resort to gifs and silly pictures

He gave an opinion on a football forum.

He’s hardly Maria Machado.

But, the chance to make a change lies in his hands.

Agree completely, that is why I want to reduce the size and influence of Westminster politics and everything that goes with it... the greatest asset this country has is an inane ability for us all to get on together irrespective of our differences in opinion

Sorry fella....your last paragraph

I had respect for you originally

Inane ability to get on together ?

Tell that to those who have family members in our area, who have died thanks to one certain set of freaks and their thoughts

Agree... get rid of the freaks by whatever means necessary,  but being British is about tolerance without having the piss taken

I've been in Rotherham most Thursdays TBF and it's not much different to the other towns of it's size I've worked in. The nerd in me was chuffed with with Rotherham town centre as there's an excellent Pokémon store there.

Town centres across the country are on their arse and it's nothing to do with immigration. The retail and entertainment world has changed massively and rapidly and towns that have adapted quickly are faring better. The middle classes are shopping on line or at big retail parks (such as Parkgate and middlebrook) leaving shops in smaller centres reduced to cheap, charity, vape style shops or bookies. The size and closeness to the town centre of Parkgate have much more to do with Rotherham town centres struggles than the Thursday market and it's customers.

I can’t disagree on town centres generally being affected by internet shopping but in Rotherham’s case the pathetic Labour town council has been mainly responsible for its steady decline over the last 30 years. Obviously the loss of the coal mines and steel production have had a significant effect but the massive invitation by the council of groups like Somali gypsies and Pakistani refugees has had a detrimental effect on local businesses. As you say moving all the big retailers  like M+S, Boots and Next to Parkgate Retail from the town centre meant small businesses closed too. Contrast that with Barnsley who applied a completely different attitude and invested heavily in the town centre and today its thriving. They didn’t let the loss of coal or steel affect them and they didn’t invite immigrants either who don’t support the shops and bars across the town. There’s never one reason towns fail but Rotherham and Barnsley just 12 miles apart show both how to and how not to keep them alive.
