I cant stand his politics and the thought of the roundabout painters in power makes me queasy but Farage does at least seem to have the power of his convictions. You can't say the same of Starmer, although like May and Cameron, you get the sense he is largely respected abroad. Truss was just an embarrassment and has led to Tories like Bad Enoch, Jenrick and Braverman all thinking they could lead the country. 20 years ago those types would have been kept hidden on the backbenches. Farage is funded by billionaires with vested interests in ensuring our whole financial system, in particular the markets remain unregulated. He is a fucking grifter who is million more times concerned about lining his own pockets than he is about education and the NHS. He dances to the tune of his paymasters. The fact he has a sniff of the top job shows how fucking shit Cameron, May, Boris, Truss, Sunak and now Starmer have been. And with the other options being Badenoch, Funny Ed and a hypnotist who think he can make women’s tits bigger shows nothing good is happening soon. Quote

Show me a politician who’s also not a grifter? and all parties are backed by wealthy people who in turn want favours in return. The whole political system in the UK stinks and needs a complete overhaul, Proportional representation needs implementing so we get a diverse range of opinions and folk from right across the political spectrum in parliament. So let's stick it to them by electing the most corrupt individual that's ever ran to be PM. Great plan. Edited December 16, 2025 by Cheese Quote

Farage is the king of it . Miles ahead of all but one other MP. This is in addition to the £117m looses at GB News someone is funding and the recent £9m donation to Reform, from the crypto guy, see earlier comment on deregulating financial markets. You are right other MPs , but not all , take donations but this is another level. https://goodlawproject.org/top-five-mps-bag-2m-outside-parliament-since-july/ Quote

A fact that seems lost on so many. The biggest con of the lot: until fairly recently, anyone that wanted to join a union was helping to fund the Labour Party. No choice- how truly democratic that was! Thankfully that has changed now. Still not convinced about PR though. Can see the "fairness" but it could also yield a toothless parliament struggling to get anything of note through. Quote

Labour had 14 years to get ready and it all has proven too much it seems. Slipping from one mistake to the next. I massively disagree with 99% of what Reform stand for but if they appeal to enough people they will get in. They just have so few people of any quality or experience to make up a Govt. I massively disagree with 99% of what Reform stand for but if they appeal to enough people they will get in. They just have so few people of any quality or experience to make up a Govt. Indeed, and both of those statements are as bad as each other, the gangs can never, ever be smashed and the boats can never, ever be stopped (if they do stop the boats, then those coming will just find another way in) unless something very dramatic, policy wise, happens - which neither of the traditional "big 2" will sign up for, and I don't even think Reform are willing to say they'll do anything more extreme than have the Navy patrol the Channel (which they've said they would, and also confirmed they wouldn't be turning anybody back, or blowing dinghies out of the water, it'd just pretty much be for show) It's been said on here many times, we need to make coming here a much less attractive proposition. As soon as they arrive, get them in secure prison camps, that they can't leave until they've been processed (fuck knows what we do with them if their application fails though) - whilst in those camps, get them out on day release, on some sort of community service, so they're at least contributing. At no point should they be allowed to "roam the streets" or be given the chance to vanish into the underground economy The second highlighted point I agree with, as we know, they're pretty much a one policy ticket. All the other parties need to do is be seen to do something about immigration, and that would wipe Reform out as a serious contender Quote

Not a bad start really, but these things can't be fixed overnight. It amazes me that this stuff doesn't get talked about more in the press. I know it doesn't suit the Right Wing narrative of our media, but the Labour Government should be doing far more to highlight their achievements. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/major-new-act-to-disrupt-smuggling-gangs https://homeofficemedia.blog.gov.uk/2025/12/12/latest-statement-in-response-to-small-boat-crossings Edited December 17, 2025 by Cheese Quote
