Megson Back .

At WBA , where he is loved . Pension top up, would love to draw them in a cup.

Yes I know he did get some good results for Bolton.

But the guy nearly ruined this club.

Smashing boro and Sunderland away consecutive weeks also stand out

Hated the cunt from the moment he was appointed

I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire

Stoke and boro away were pretty good too.

(Some will say these were in spite of him though)

Aye, any games we lost, are because he was shit

Any games we won, were in spite of him

the only positive from the Megson era (sometime after) was Casino shouting "I hope you are all fucking happy now, you wanted this" in full meltdown mode at Stoke. I genuinely thought he was going to kill someone.

That freezing cold night game when every bell wash that's ever supported the club was out in force thanks to the free busses?

Easy in the top 3 worst days watching bolton that.

That was Stoke's first season up I think. Some abysmal cunts on that trip.

Aye chavs in air max and shorts swigging smuggled in cider chanting fuck off megson:

Acers.

Exactly everybody forgets that the period when Could. Was successful was with Megsons team. They team Megson put together was actually a good side

Thing is we had good spells under DF Megson even Coyle. Lennon was a failure start to finish

Lennon was a failure start to finish

Give over, there was plenty to like about his first season.

Lennon was sold a pup. From memory wasn't even being considered and then at the eleventh hour turned down a lucrative job in Middle East to take our job after a meeting

With gartslime.

That said he did appear to simply down tools

From early on as soon as he realised we were fucked financially and it wasn't the job he had signed up for.

But not giving 100% its unforgivable

Thing is we had good spells under DF Megson even Coyle. Lennon was a failure start to finish

Nah

He had everyone buzzing from around October to January and temporarily brought the club back to life after DF had sucked most the life out of it

Given some of the players at his disposal Megson should have done better. Horrible man.

Some folks, whoever the manager was, would say the wins were down to the players and fuck all to do with the manager and that the losses were fuck all to do with the players and everything to do with the manager. I never did work out how that happened.

poor from you this mate, arsenal, Liverpool Blackburn and hull? Hardly every week unless I have missed any

Had some absolutely cracking results with him but they get forgotten

Just my opinion bud. I hated going under him. If we had anything like that again I'd just sack it off. It's not to wind anyone up, just how I felt/feel

Ditto.

IMO Big Sam is the greatest manager in the club's history but the football played in his last season saw me having a second pint at half time rather than go back out to watch the game. Never done that before or since.

Agree with all that. That last season felt like he was waiting to go. I'm glad he did

Was the sun in your eyes under freedman?

Remember being a bit bored during a game against west brom. Sam's long ball game yielded a couple of late goals in a comfortable 2-0 win.

Was wishing for a bit more "quality". More fool me.

Be careful what we wish for.

Fully agree.Anybody who thought Sam's last season "wasn't good enough for Bolton" will have had some huge disappointments in the 10 years since

Rochdale Walsall Peterborough Coventry Chesterfield away last season.

Way worse than anything megson produced.
