  • Little has been very good since he got a run in the team. He had 2 poor games against Reading and wolves (where most did) - he wasn’t meant to be fit enough to face Reading but went on to play 90 minu

if you mean he goes full length, saves stuff he possibly shouldnt  and pushes the ball away from danger, i agree

i dont know what people expect really, but we are a support that had folk writing off jaaskelainen for years

for me hes having a very good season

I agree.

Me too. We've had some great keepers in the past; McDonagh, Branigan, Jussi, and while Alnwick isn't up with them yet, he's certainly not near the crap one's we used to endure.

Obviously you didn’t go and missed Armstrong’s party piece running at full pelt with no one that close to him and ran the ball out of play while under full control, while Buckley carried the ball on many occasions and drew a number of fouls eventually drawing the foul for the penalty don’t think we will be seeing that much of Armstrong if Buckley stays fit.

I was there pal. Didn't say Buckley did shit thought he did quite well. Think I just expected more from him so far. Injuries and getting back full sharpness should help.

I reckon most keepers in most teams are relatively average-to-good based on the league they're in, and it's not often you come across a consistently bad one

look at ones like Lonergan, can easily end up in a team pushing for promotion as one fighting relegation - same in the PL with keepers like Hart, Myhill, Hennesey, Schimichel, Foster, Mignolet etc etc

there's  never been loads of top class keepers in the PL, but Jussi was certainly up there with the best of them

Alnwick no better or worse than most keepers we've had at this level, do like him though - but even he wasn't regarded as good as Howard for most of last season, and now would be happy if Howard never turned out for us again

Still have high hopes of noone.

High Noone?

If Buckley can stay fit and I know it's a big if he could be a big player for us. Can beat a man and a very intelligent player - and we don't have many of those.

His header back for Vela was an example and Vela should have buried that chance.

I'm with Casino on Vela. Appreciate his workrate but he does need to give us more quality either creating or scoring chances to be a real top player.

Ha ha ha ha ha

Sorry, I’m still tickled at Homo saying Little can’t kick it

Yet on another thread he's accepting that people within the game are (infinitly) more qualified in identifying who can and can't "kick it".

Little has been very good since he got a run in the team. He had 2 poor games against Reading and wolves (where most did) - he wasn’t meant to be fit enough to face Reading but went on to play 90 minutes in both. I think it was pretty obvious he wasn’t fully fit but still put in a shift for the team. Saturday he was back to full fitness and was MOM, that right hand side with him and Ameobi looks strong both defensively and going forward.

2nd best player in the league plays for Barnsley....

but he didn't star on this occasion and was eventually subbed, maybe to avoid a booking.

He looks to have been their best player in recent weeks, great from our point of view as many loan deals dont work out well.
