Wanderers 1-0 Sunderland

Chris Coleman has just described it as the biggest in Sunderland's history.

As shit as they are, they may just be up for it.

It's as must win as games get. For both teams.

Not making excuses for him as he was all over the show tonight, but I said at kick off that their very pale blue top didn’t offer much of a contrast to our white.

  • Scrappy 1-0 wins will do for me and that was proper scrappy. Wheater and Beevers both looked knackered after 60 mins and Taylor was well off the pace all game.   ALF looks a better bet up front than

I'm hoping the ref starts takign a bit of a look at some of these challenges that the Sunderland lot are putting in. Leading with elbows in headers, leaving their foot in on challenges, and the ref doesn't look like he's going to call any of them.

On the plus side, Wilbraham looks likes he might get their centre half sent off or at least booked soon... Some hangover from a late challenge in the first half.

That's a confusing sub...

Two good subs there

Hope we can stop this Sunderland domination

Christ, Sammy looks lazy today.

Great save from ALF then we hit the bar.

Unbelievable save from ALF then we hit the bar.

Why the feck does Parkinson always do this when we take a lead. Sit on it. Despite the stats from when he does exactly that. Its like we give the opposition confidence instead of going for the throat

Aaaaaand relax.

Humongous win

God that was a nervous 45 minutes

Because football isn’t as simple as press A to attack. Players naturally take a yard back when winning, teams who are losing push on, its as much in the mind as anything else.

Also our problem is we lack outlets when we lead and it means we do struggle.

Possibly the worse 6 minutes of my life!!

Get in

It was a good double substitution

Although Derek has been gash he was the only midfield player we could add and Wilb needed to be replaced with someone a bit more mobile

Sounded like we were a bit lucky but them three points are vital

Need Pratley and Vela back ASAP or we will slip back again

That tables looking good tonight

Utter toss for 96 minutes from both teams, happy days. Good game from karacan ran his bollocks off but should have finished the game off.

With Villa, wolves and nob end at home to come, thanks for the points Sunderland.

Brilliant, vital result. Stats tell a grim, unsustainable story but the table does not!

They were not the worst side we have played

Tough to watch second half we just cant remain the ball

Great 3 points though

Karacan had a good game

Shit Fan.
