Wanderers 1-0 Sunderland

Chris Coleman has just described it as the biggest in Sunderland's history.

As shit as they are, they may just be up for it.

It's as must win as games get. For both teams.

Not making excuses for him as he was all over the show tonight, but I said at kick off that their very pale blue top didn’t offer much of a contrast to our white.

  • Scrappy 1-0 wins will do for me and that was proper scrappy. Wheater and Beevers both looked knackered after 60 mins and Taylor was well off the pace all game.   ALF looks a better bet up front than

Think last night with Wilbraham shows not anybody can do madines job as some made out (this isn’t a moan on his sale)

Such a big lad he couldn’t trap a bag of cement last night so if he can’t hold the ball up then it’s pointless him starting

Alf who’s a midget needs to start he presses and he’s an annoying little fucker for defenders

wilbraham is 38. If we are comparing the 2 it says more about madine for me

Wilbraham did what he was asked to do to the best of his ability. He's been a decent player at this level but gone now. He wasn't good but he didn't deserve the cheering from some near me when he was taken off.

Nail hit on head earlier in this thread, we've too many strikers who'd be most effective coming on in last 20 mins and none that can do the first 70 well enough, especially in a team that routinely has as little possession as us.

his physique alone should be able to hold balls up nowt to do with age

According to Parkinson, he hadn't trained for a few weeks - until Sunday.

We certainly looked more threatening when ALF came on and stopped lumping high balls.

Of course age is a factor. If it wasn't then Kevin Davies would still be up front for us.

legs went he could still hold the ball up though

now the dust has settled.

we were shite, sunderland were shitter

goal must have been handball?

beevers was awful, just awful

karacan was superb - great energy

henry is a cunt - but at least he is our cunt

clough was shite for the most part - how fans booed his sub, yet jeered wilbrahams is beyond me.

great result - well done parky.

next game please.

In football there are players who have the courage to make that physical challenge and players who have the courage to take that extra touch or take the extra man on possibly creating or scoring a goal the Likes of Clough and Eagles were the latter the likes of Patterson the former and it takes both to create a good team.

GAZZA

At the same time we need to keep our feet on the ground last night was massive but very fortunate

Let’s not underestimate the likes of Preston and especially Millwall who are a couple of wins off play offs,

I think 4 wins will do it

Agree - that gets us to 45 pts.  Can't see any of the bottom 3 catching Norwich or Ipswich's current totals.

Might have to come as 3 wins and 3 draws though.  Not an easy run in but lots of mid table teams which can be a huge advantage come the last few games.

"He looks injured"

He looks like Duane Dibley with a coat hanger still in his shirt.

He put Kevin Davies to shame in the art of late tackling last night.

He was that late in a challenge near esl the floodlights had been switched off.

American footballer that game they play with a rugby ball.

Or that flat bloke who's been run over on Beetlejuice :-)

Davis blew it when he got greedy trying to get us to pay him off before he signed for Sheffield Wednesday
