Oh aye I’m absolutely frothing at the mouth; you’ve ruined my bank holiday weekend

Now you're just being daft.

Western Australian Stupid Person?

See, now that's creative Mick. Like it - a lot. Have a +1.

13 month he's just got

Silence all dissenters?

Astounding how the 'outrage' about TR is equal to, or greater than, that for the filthy fucking scumbags who committed the real crime.

It was very nearly Prick but I'm much nicer than that :)

Seems that way doesn't it?

I looked at a few reports earlier surrounding this TR affair in mainstream papers - they all made reference to the EDL, past crimes, football hooliganism and the vibe was generally negative.

Fair enough, I suppose, (as he hasn't helped anyone here) but why not counter that by at least mentioning what he seems to be trying to achieve - bringing this sick culture further into the public domain?  I think the answer is highlighted above . . .

I'll say it again, if this was EDL members raping and abusing underage Muslims and, say, the odd Jewish minor, would we see the same response?  And I'm not talking about just this case.

Why wouldn't they make reference to his past? If it was not for the EDL I'd have no clue who he was.

You missed out knocking women about by the way

Apologies.   Although don't remember seeing that?!

I think I mentioned that was fair enough, didn't I?

What are your thoughts on the last part of my post, out of interest?

If said Muslim reporters where breaking the terms of their suspended sentence then aye I'd expect the same response

No, that's a dodge :)

I mean over a decade of systematic and targeted abuse of specific racial and religious groups by the EDL - not just one case, Mick.

Would we hear more of it do you think?  Would the press paint a different picture?  Would the nation be as seemingly apathetic?

The way some sections of society and some sections of the media treat 'outsiders' I'm not sure there'd be the sort of outrage you're implying there would be.

Any road it boils down to this

You did this, I won't send you to prison but if you do it again I will

Bloke does it again

I'm sending you to prison

Awwww!!!!! That ain't fair.

Fucking bell.

The EDL stood against extremist Islam - the problem was it attracted racist twats.

As far as i could see Tommy Robinson spent most of his time as leader trying to keep these idiots away, but of course that was fighing a losing battle which is why he eventually left.

Hes done some questionable things in the past. But people who will just say hes 'racist scum'  are in my opinion sheep who will just believe anything the main stream media tell them

Well we'll have to agree to disagree there.  Imagine how the Guardian would react, not to mention the Islamic (Jewish) community . . .

I agree with the last bit though but find his intention/motivation, however you want to see it, as quite admirable

Admirable? Really? Risk the collapse of a case to further his profile?

Rebel Media in Canada (who TR used work for) challenged the media black of his trial and won so it was lifted this afternoon

What's coming out is that originally it was believed that the hearing on Friday was a sentencing hearing, turns out it wasn't, the Jury hadn't found the 10 men guilty at the time TR was live streaming, they were still deliberating

But, TR Solicitor contacted Leeds Police Station where he was being helf and they told her he had been released and there was no need to travel to Leeds, somebody noticed in the court room that Tommy Robinson had been added to the ‘cases list’ an hour after he had been arrested, he was in the court room for 3 minutes and sentenced to 13 months for contempt of court (despite being arrested for breach of the peace) he was not allowed to speak to his solicitor and he was only allowed to have a duty solicitor who knew nothing of his background or previous cases. He spoke to the judge and informed him he had been given 6 Osman warnings by Counter Terrorism (Osman warning is given by CT when they uncover credible evidence that there is a plot to kill him) and that his life could be in danger if he was put in prison, the judge replied ‘You should have thought that before’ Now whatever you think of TR, this is dodgy as fuck, and there is still reporting restriction on what happened in the court room that TR was sentenced to 13 months

Sounds to me like the courts had this all locked down and the trial was proceeding successfully with any required justice about to be served.

Then, it seems, TR has opened his gob too soon and potentially fucked everyone including himself.

The defendants could potentially get off with anything they may have done and he goes to prison and probably gets stabbed.

Somewhere in that angry fucking hatstand of his there’s a relevant point to be made. But he really needs to learn when to speak.

If you're implying I can't think for myself you can fuck right off.

Now now . . . I'd like to think you'd hold me in slightly higher regard - I'd make it perfectly clear if that's what I meant  :)

I meant the general public really.

I might question your conclusions though ;)

Question all you like. You're wrong as fuck though (to paraphrase the Inspirals) ;)

But folk are mental to assume that the top brass, or establishment, just to be clear, may have something of an agenda here . . .

If TR had been sentenced to 3 months for breaking the initial suspended sentence then I'd have no problem with this

But to try somebody of a new crime, sentence him, deny him access to he legal representative in just over an hour after being arrested is not right in any democratic society, surely. I've actually read his book Enemy of the State so I'm actually biased towards belieing that he is purposely but in harms way. The facts are beyond tin foil hat. Tommy is clumsy and generalises way too much but I actually think some of his points are valid and not just his biased opinion

Nicely put.

He's far from a polished speaker and I agree goes about things like a bull in a China shop.   He doesn't even strike me as someone you'd have a nice pint with (unlike Mickbrown who I'd happily buy a beer and have a natter with - the nippy twat :)  )

but . .  as Spider says he makes some good points, somewhere.   Points that many don't want to hear.

That he is a working class lad (I would never say hero, like) who has stood toe to toe with the Oxbridge lot, politicians and the media and at times made me sit up and at least listen to his points does make me have a bit more respect.  I'm surprised at the level of vitriol aimed at him to be honest but then I realise most folk either don't care or are happy to see him as a right wing, hoolie thug and leave it at that.

The main stream media are anti-Muslim and generally in the majority of cases right wing.

The fact they don’t break the law in these cases is a good thing.

When Muslims complain about any act of terror being discussed differently when it’s a Muslim (Islamic terrorist) vs a white man (must have had mental health issues, sad loner) do you think that is fair?

Basically the legal system was dealing with the issue and then thicko Robinson sticks his massive ego in the way.

Robinson has a huge worldwide following, before being banned from Twitter he had more followers than Teressa May, his videos on Youtube get more viewings than Corronation Street. An online petition to free Tommy Robinson was put on line 2 days ago and has already received 400K signatures. His arrest would be all over the news but the Judge has ordered reporting restrictions until the trials he was covering have been concluded. Donald Trump Junior has tweeted his support for TR as has Rozanne Barr, it;s all over Fox News and it;s being reported as UK journalist imprisoned for covering Pedophile Grooming Gang trial and UK media has been silenced so the story is spreading like wildfire outside the UK. I wouldn't underestimate his influence, there's massive amounts of people around the world who believe every word he says

Rosanne Barr supporting him. I see she has just been dropped due to her racist tweets. Two peas in a pod.
